KMHD Jazz Radio

i was a 3 star review bc of airplay troubles but it works good. 5 stars does what its supposed to do

Easy to use. Lock Screen displays current song.

I’ve been a listener of KMHD for years now and I really love it. Easily one of the best stations anywhere. When my car stereo recently broke and could no longer play radio, I was happy to learn that AUX still worked and I could play some KMHD through this app. However, the online streaming is almost completely unlistenable. Through the website is no better, either. Even when I have 4 bars of service and everything, the app will play for like 10 seconds and then stop to buffer for another 5-10 seconds. Then it’ll randomly throw in extra ads during the middle of songs, both interrupting them and playing over them so you miss the next 20 seconds of the song. I’m not sure if it’s my service, the app, or the online streaming itself, but I just don’t even bother at all anymore. I never have any trouble streaming videos or anything, so I don’t think it’s on my end. I really wish I could just plug it in and forget about it, but I guess that’s too much to ask.

I love KMHD but this app copies from your clipboard every time you open it. There’s no reason for that.

App is okay. It’s nice if you want to listen to the station, but everything else is glitchy. It does not update to tell you what songs have played and it doesn’t let you adjust the time or sounds or anything for an alarm.

5 stars for the music. But, 2.5 stars for the app. The app often doesn’t connect or takes a long time. And if you have to listen to something elsewhere real quick it doesn’t reconnect (like other apps, ie Spotify or Podcasts). I also wish the app always showed the song and performer. I’m constantly having to look it up on the website, which often it isn’t there either.

I could be wrong but this app doesn’t seem to able to play KMHD2. Can anyone let me know?

Listen to the app all the time (thank you T-Mobile and unlimited streaming). The one feature I would like to see is the addition of a sleep timer. When I use to listen to KMHD through PRX, it had a sleep timer. I also use the sleep timer all the time in my Amazon Music app. I know someone is going to say just use the timer feature within the iOS Stopwatch app but, I don’t want to set for a specific event and forget to change it back to an audio notification.

This is the perfect iPhone radio app. No frills to get in the way of a nice jazz session. I wish there was a sleep timer setting, but I just turn it off manually instead. Not that big of a deal. I love KMHD and use this app constantly!
