Application for Digital Guided tour for the routes network of the Heraklion Regional Unit
The application integrates and offers digital content to visitors of the Heraklion Regional Unit and the Palace of Knossos and leads them to visitable monuments. The digital tour application is connected to beacons and QR codes that were installed at the entrance of selected monuments and archeological sites. The user receives digital information depending on his location, with or without internet connection, and accesses a set of information and multimedia content, such as texts, photos, stories, videos, in relation to each object's story. The application incorporates a short audio tour in Greek - English for each point of interest. Finally, the application will provide the ability to view three-dimensional representations of selected archaeological sites of Heraklion Ephorate of Antiquities.
