Disappointing execution
The product is great. It encourages learning, helps the brain make connections, all of that. The web application works well. But this app? Not so much. Pros: 1. Writing answers with an Apple Pencil is really useful. On a desktop, you have to do keyboard gymnastics to be able to submit the right answer, but being able to write it out really helps. You just have to make sure it gets the transcription right. 2. The notepad. Man, I wish there was a way to do this on desktop. Having that notepad helps so much when you're solving problems - you don't have to be switching between a notepad app and Knowre. That is, when it works. Cons: 1. It logs you out. Constantly. I don't think I've had a single session using it where it doesn't log me out once or twice. Every time I open it, I have to log back in. It gets tiring, and discourages me from even opening the app. 2. It crashes a ton. I've had multiple events where I'm about to finish a problem, I'm writing out the solution, and then boom. It just stops. Bonus points if it signs you out after crashing! That's always fun. It also doesn't present you with the same problem when you try to restart that lesson, so all the work you just did is out the window. That being said; if you want to keep your work, and you don't want the hassle of logging in every two seconds, just use the desktop app. You can take your chances here, but there's no guarantee that you won't lose all your progress on the problem you just tried to solve.
