Koala FX is the ultimate creative effects unit. It offers 16 one-touch effects that you can play intuitively like an instrument, allowing you to effortlessly morph and twist your track into something beautiful.
It includes all your favourite mix effects from Koala Sampler, but refined and souped up to allow super smooth cuts and crossfades.
Apply effects to your whole mix just to add some lofi warmth or to liven things up… or use it to sculpt synth sounds to blend in with the rest.
* Save up to 8 scenes per preset, so you can cut between them in time with the music
* Smoothly crossfade between scenes with a giant 8-way X-Y pad.
* Rearrange the order of the effects by dragging them.
* A togglable hold mode allows you to keep some effects engaged, and others off when you let go of them.
* Fully automatable via your host (effects, volume, scene, XY pad)
* UI is fully resizable, works great in any aspect ratio

Koala FX FAQ
Is Koala FX free?
Yes, Koala FX is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Koala FX legit?
🤔 The Koala FX app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
This are the same amazing effects that you can find on the Koala Sampler app and some awesome tweaking options as well. This developer as proved over and over his commitment to make good quality and reliable apps to have fun while making music!
It’s okay
This app needs to be updated since a mixer has now been added to Koala Sampler
Great when its stable
Crashes anytime I save some work and have to restart my DAW for it to work again but definitely adds a good layer to sounds
CRASHES IN LOGIC PRO FOR IPAD
I initially used this to apply live effects to a track, in Logic Pro for iPad. While the first tracks worked, after crashing once, I haven’t been able to use Koala fx with Logic since. Whenever I load the audio unit, I’m either: 1) given an error notification, or 2) koala loads, and the crashes, as soon as I attempt to playback, or record a track.
I really want to like it
I love Koala, so naturally I decided to buy the effects plug in to use in GarageBand/ Logic Pro iPad. But, no matter how many times I reinstall it never shows up in either program. I tried to look online to see if it was a common issue but I’m the only one with this issue i guess.

Sounds Great, No Automation in Logic.
Perhaps, I’m being harsh with two stars, but I literally only bought this to use in Logic. Of course, that was before being cognizant of “for iOS” moniker.
Without being able to automate it though, this things kinda useless.
Very convoluted, this whole AUv3 thing seems.
Love the program, it rarely works
Every single time i want to use it i have to close and reopen garageband several times, and this happens on multiple devices
For a layer of grime...
UPDATE - still a great app in 2022!
...this gets added to just about everything I do! Great sounding and easy to use. Just what I want out of an fx app!
Amazing when it loads
App is easily the best multi fx in the game….but it has many, many issues as far as loading is concerned. Mainly I find that it has great difficulty instantiating in BM3 when loading saved projects. I would say my success rate is about 25%. In other hosts, it is maybe 50%. I am running an M1 iPP, for reference. Otherwise, when it does load it is very fun and useful for the price!
If you love koala…
If you love koala and you love the ease and fun of the performance fx and you use any other DAWs or apps, this is a no-brainer.
It’s great and all to have individual fx AUv3s for certain things, and sometimes you have to really dig in with parameters, and then sometimes you just need multi-fx quick and easy. That’s what this is for. I put this on my master channel, I put this on individual channels, call this franks red hot because I put that **** on everything. I have other fx and multi-fx apps, but this one is my meat and potatoes.
It’s not only great for doing SP-404/Koala style live fx, it’s also great for sound design. Sometimes I’ll turn hold on and just go wild with with a couple different fx, resampling the result, and then using that as a whole new sound in my project.
Absolutely worth the money!
