Great update!
I opened the app after months and now the camera identifies the passport, allows you to toggle what to see and what not on/off. Nothing manual anymore. Happy to see that!

Using the CopyID app, make a secure copy of your Dutch identity document and protect your identity data.
- Take a photograph of your identity document.
- Cross out information that is not relevant for the recipient.
- Enter for whom the copy is intended and for what purpose the copy is required. This text is superimposed with the date on the copy, as a watermark.
- You can then send, print or save the copy for subsequent use.
You can only store the copy if your telephone or tablet is password protected.
This app is issued by the National Office for Identity Data - Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.

Exactly what it says it is
Downloaded this after watching BOOS where it got recommended to stop identity fraud. Really helpful.
File can’t be opened
Defeats the purpose. The file I created could not be opened by the receiving institution as it was corrupted. The picture taken is not just of the document but everything around it. The app needs work.
Not fit for purpose
The watermark the app adds to the copies actually blocks from view much of the information on the ID which is intended to be seen.
Doet niks
Maakt alleen een foto geluid, maar doet verder niks.
App ontwikkelaar zonder expertise!!
De ontwikkelaar van deze App “update” zou zich toch echt moeten schamen. Een goed werkende app vervangen door iets wat het totaal niet doet. Ga eens de recensies van het laatste half jaar doorlezen dan weet je dat je een prutser bent! Bijna alleen maar 1 sterren. Misschien kun je over je ego heenstappen en gewoon de oude versie terug zetten en er verder van afblijven. Je zou een hele boel mensen een plezier doen.
Deed het wel maar nu niet meer
Hij deed het netjes maar onlangs neemt ie foto en gaat dan niet verder. iPhone 8 iOS 16.7.8 If it ain’t broke …..
Broken
It was working perfectly until you added automatic ID recognition feature. I was able to use the app for any document, but now it doesn’t work even for the back side of the EU long term permit :(
Incompleet
Vandaag nieuwe ID card gehaald, maar de achterkant wordt niet herkend met de app
Doesnt even scan
We tried various different environments, lightings, setups and nothing works.
