This has to be the worst app ever. It takes forever to connect to wi-FI, if it does at all, doesn’t tell you when it’s not connected and oh, has tons of flashing lights that flash in the dark, ALL NIGHT LONG. Who thought this thing up?
Usually is works but when it doesn’t, good luck getting it reconnected. I’ve been on hold with customer service for over 90 minutes and still no answer.
I have a brand new top of the line air source heat pump with 5 mini-splits and paid for the WiFi controllers to use the app. While the app does work and allows control of the functions remotely, it is slow, glitchy and really the bare minimum with a poor interface. When will this system simply work with Google Home which is faster and more responsive? Seems like the way to go and stop building a custom app that looks like it was built by two guys in a garage.
Easy to install and intuitive programming. Good control capabilities; “scheduling” timers make it easy to turn off system during periods of peak power prices. Makes my already excellent Mitsubishi split system even better!
The app provides the same basic functionality as the remote control does. I’ve been wit for 2 days and it works as expected. However, for the $2500 I spent to gain Kumo Cloud functionality, I’d like to see it do much more. I’d love to see Mitsubishi devices have Apple HomeKit integration. Then I could monitor my house from one app and have it programmatically turn my Mitsubishi A/C off/on when I leave or return home.
Nothing but frustrations from this app. If you set a program and never deviate from this program, the app works fine (although you don’t need an app if you never change it). If you want to change your settings during the day, you’re going to have a bad time. During the summer, I prefer to have different set points when I’m home versus away. This is extremely tedious to do with the app. I make changes in the app, but they don’t save properly, leading to an uncomfortable temperature when I get home. The system turns to off mode and starts following a schedule on its own, without following a pattern. I miss nest.
This app looks old, very limited, and does not explain anything. For instance, what instance how does auto work?
I’ve been using it for a few months now. Once you program a schedule it’s hard to see the program. Each zone lists events, no indication of whether they repeat other days or affect other zones. Sometimes it will not take a new event, perhaps because of a conflict but that isn’t usually clear. No easy way to switch a whole program from heat to fan to cooling, you can only control this event by event. Other programmable timers have more graphical interfaces and the ability to switch events on or off. I might want heat at night and cooling during the day in May, but would like to switch off the heat in June and restart in October. More significantly, the app often drops zones, telling me that they are offline when they are not. Generally they reconnect later in the day. Most recently I lost an entire zone and have not been able to reconnect This system really compromises what is otherwise an excellent split system.
Buggy, constantly crashing. You set the mode and temperature, and either will change seemingly at random. It often tells you that a program is running when one isn’t (as in, the temperature you set will hold until X time because it is following a schedule….but the programmed schedule is turned off). Most befuddling, no apparent way to keep different programmed schedules, such as, say, one for heating in the winter and one for cooling in the summer. Or a vacation mode. Seriously?? On one one of my four minisplits, the kumo cloud antenna failed. Which is wonderful because that is now the only unit in the house that works the reliably. This makes no sense— Mitsubishi Electric heat pumps are so widely used, how can the app be this bad? And why didn’t my installer mention, oh sure they have an app…but it totally doesn’t work.
