Lalatoon - Comics & Webtoon

The comics are very beautifully portrayed and most storylines captivating. The only fault can be found in the translation. It seems as though the translators have been doing a good job at the beginning of e.g. “the Silent Concubine” which I’m reading at the moment, but then have let loose. The grammatical structure of the English language is lacking so much that the sentences don’t give meaning at times. Other times they’ve simply been oddly translated for example when Xuanxiao says:”You understand me… I am pleasured” (talking about politics) and “am I being pushed of cliff by consort? Please Majesty, don’t get closer anymore!” You’ll the the message but it’s not an easy read. You’ll have to travel through the writer’s completely random tenses, using words that have different meanings in English, words that are switched around, and trying to invoke the class-differentiated-language that is common in Eastern countries. Unfortunately failing to do this naturally.

On iOS you can’t purchase coins through the app….if you tap purchase coins the screen just goes blank. It also takes so long for anything to load on the website. This has so much potential but falls short almost everywhere

The story offered on the ad through Facebook…downloaded the app and the story that caught my attention wasn’t even there only on the web?? And the coins are so expensive I’ll pass now not worth it find the stories else where

I actually love reading on here and completely understand each artist and story deserves pay for their work. My issue is there should be an option to also earn coins by watching ads or something or every few hours you get 3 coins so we don’t constantly need to purchase them. It’s a bit irritating to always have to purchase coins. Other than this I see no issues within the app and enjoy reading stories from it when I have the coins to.

Too bad that I have to buy the chapters of a story, I can get them free from other app tbh

Originally signed up through a browser on Facebook, reading until I needed to purchase coins. I then purchased coins, the smaller package of $4.99, but when I went to the next episode that needed the coins to unlock, it was a video that didn’t even work. So then I opened it up in a new browser with Safari, thinking it was the browser, but I t kept saying that my email was invalid. So I had to create ANOTHER profile. Same email, same password. Was going to give it a little while and see if it needed time to catch up, but I did contact customer service though the app and was waiting for a reply. Now I can’t load the app or the website.

Just bought some coins to read ‘Whose baby is it?’ And each chapter is 3 coins. I bought 25. Went to unlock chapter 4 and the coin purchasing screen keeps popping up. This happens on the app and the website. So essentially I just wasted money and was stolen from because I just paid for a product that I cannot use. I’m gonna try to get a refund.

I don’t mind paying for chapters because I understand that a lot goes into each story; from the art, storyline, editors, and translators it is important that each person is paid fairly. However, my problem is that even after purchasing coins and trying to use those coins on chapters I am instead blocked from reading. This is obviously a glitch in the programming part but it makes it difficult to want to continue to use this app. It almost makes it seem like they want you to think that you have to continue purchasing coins when not needed. Which just makes the app cheap and money hungry. There are other great comic apps that do not have this issue, I would recommend those instead.

all the chapters are so expensive. cant we watch an ad to get the coins or something? or do those daily sign ins?
