Description
Dieses App macht aus Deinem iPhone (oder iPad) einen Geologenkompass. Du kannst damit die Fallrichtung und den Fallwinkel von geologischen Flächen (z. B. Schichtflächen oder Schieferungen) oder Lineationen messen und die gespeicherten Daten in einem Wulff'schen oder Schmidt'schen Netz darstellen. Auf einer Karte können die Messungen als tektonische Symbole gezeigt werden. Die gespeicherten Daten können auf einfache Weise über ein WLAN oder ein lokales Netzwerk oder per E-Mail übertragen werden. Als Besonderheit stellt das App die aktuelle Orientierung des iPhones in einer Halbkugelprojektion in Echtzeit dar, wodurch dieses App auch eine didaktisch einsetzbar ist.
