Is Lance legit?
⚠️ Warning: Multiple users of Lance have mentioned scam or fraud. Investigate thoroughly before using this app.
Great as long as you don’t ever need to speak to anyone
Because the support here is literally a tape-recorded message to says leave a message, and they will contact within 24 hours via email. That’s extent of it. If you need to dispute a transaction, they will of course work with the merchant they will not give you any credit within the 10 days and they say it can take up to 90 days to see your money back so as long as you don’t use your card and have anybody take the funds off your card or have a “product not delivered” or some kind of fraud on your account again, you’re OK if you have any these issues no coverage - it’s been a month since I had a merchant basically fraudulently take $43 from my account and I know it’s not much, but the that’s $43 still tied up so as long as you don’t need any provisional credit don’t need access to your money quickly this is a great app. If you do, this is a horrible app. This app is going to be geared more for business customers who have plenty of cash reserves on hand and have the time to. Handle a dispute in a manner where you have the cash on hand to cover your expenses while they take their time .. if you’re a freelancer with tight funds , then be prepared to have some cash flow issues if you have with anyone using your debit card number.
Terrible
Literally no customer service , my card won’t pause and it says my virtual card is invalid everywhere I attempt to use it . WHY WOULD YOU GIVE ME AN INVALID CARD….. on top of that I’ve transferred money because the lance account is clearly unusable but guess what disappeared a never showed up in any of my accounts…. My money you guessed it . I seriously recommend varo or credit karma over this trash service
Worst 🤬 Bank Ever
I wish I could give this bank a negative 5 stars. Closed my account, stole my money, no customer service, & stopped answering me!
APP DOES NOT WORK!
I can’t create an account because the button to create the account is behind the text to view the Banking Agreement and Terms. Each time that I try and click the button it takes me to the Banking Agreement. So now they have all of my personal information and I cant even get into the account. Time to freeze my credit report.
Looks like a scam
You can open an account with fake id number, fake birthday and fake ein and still get an account? Shows they are scammers who just want you to send money. So I sent $8 just to see what happened and just as I thought it didn’t post. They don’t have a phone number and if you contact blueridge bank, they will give you misleading information about lance so they are in on the scam. Report them to SEC and fbi (i3gov) maybe they can catch the crook if the owner of this bank is ever identified. If a bank doesn’t have a home office, phone number, and operators not publicly known it’s not a real bank it’s a scam to get your money.
Not the best at all rather poor experience actually
When it started out it was okay and then they wouldn’t accept documents or their app had weird exception errors. Direct deposits don’t always go to the account and have bounced back to my employer on at least three occasions. Also don’t expect any kind of customer service when transactions that aren’t yours start popping up, had to order a new card and has been a nightmare ever since.
Customer service is almost non existent here. Don’t expect to speak to a live person or often get someone in chat on their app. It’s like a hit or miss and you are largely on your own.
I only gave it 1 Star because I couldn’t give it 0
I had my direct deposits go to my Lance account, and literally the day after my direct deposit was submitted… Lance closed my account without any remorse or regrets. I never did anything “illegal” or “suspicious” with my account. This was a completely irrational decision.
Assuming it’s because I would withdraw amounts to go to different locations but that just comes with finances, I’m not going to store several thousands in Lance. I need it for what it’s advertised for. So, no..
Do yourself a favor and STICK TO ACTUAL BANKS. They don’t get to make harsh and irrational decisions whenever they want with poor and unresponsive customer service.
DO NOT USE THIS APP OR BANK
I swear I would give this bank a negative five star review if I could have. Don’t use this business because I actually loved it at first until my account was hacked and my online access locked me out with zero chance of recovery. Don’t attempt finding a customer service number because it’s nonexistent. I found a messenger customer service and the man I spoke with was of zero help and kept abandoning our conversation. He offered me zero help and said to email them for help from my email I enrolled with but to my horror as many times as I emailed them they sent the exact same email over and over saying if you want to join us now you can and I’m so close to an account why not finish. I already had an account and it’s obvious they don’t read or respond to any requests. So the man got mad and closed my account with money in it with no options on recovering my money. They are thieves and they will steal your money then you absolutely can not call them so I reported this to Better Business Bureau and ever .gov site including my state representative that which I could find and I continue looking for ways to report this problem. Lance y’all have a law suit coming I’m dying to sue y’all and I promise I already found four lawyers out of the Baton Rouge Louisiana state capital so you have way more problems on y’all hands y’all messed with the wrong business owner. I am just happy I didn’t yet load my account with millions like I almost did for them to steal that to. Believe me my friends and fellow business owners this is for real this is an unfortunate true story and Lance should be ashamed of themselves. I am also going to post this to millions on my social media accounts all of them and I am filing a police report today and paying court fees which y’all will eventually pay for y’all’s unprofessional misdeeds. We are looking for others to for a class action lawsuit. I will sue I will win I will see to it that Lance is shut down and out of business before to long so y’all absolutely can not take advantage or victimize others. This is hands down the worst business I’ve ever had the displeasure to do business with and I’ve had many other horrible experiences. Hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had. Lance should be ashamed of themselves. When a business don’t have a phone number that is scary run away and this is straight from the Better Business Bureau’s mouth to me and I have documentation of this. Believe me run people run. I’m also putting this on the Lance s
Hidden Fees
Advertised as free with no hidden fees. The fees for receiving a payment are HIGH and not disclosed anywhere until you go to send an invoice.
Closed Account
Had an account for almost a year. I liked it okay, the GUI is really bad.
This morning I woke up to a notification that my account had been closed. No warning, no way to reverse it. I have a direct deposit hitting tomorrow that I really, really needed for my family. Now it will bounce back and will be a while before I get it to my other account.
There’s a ton of other options for banks geared towards freelancers. Lili is my favorite. Novo, Found, etc. I was using Lili already because it actually looks like it was designed in the year 2022, as opposed to Lance’s Legacy Sega Genesis OS (sick console, but want to feel my bank is more up to date).
Certainly you should have the right to close customer’s accounts. But without warning so they are able to make arrangements to switch where their $$$ is headed, that’s low.
