LawnStarter for Providers

Published by: LawnStarter

Description

LawnStarter for Providers allows lawn care providers to claim jobs, manage their schedules, and coordinate their crews. This app works in conjunction with LawnStarter's web platform, which allows lawn care companies to claim extra clients on their already existing routes.
This app uses background geolocation tracking to provide location data that can be interacted with on LawnStarter's web software. On this software providers can track and manage their fleet of individual lawn care crews in real time to see the current status of job completions for a given day. Historical location data is also provided on our web software to help providers make informed decisions about coverage areas and assign jobs in an order that optimizes crews' routes (Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life).

Worst apps ever

Wasted about $60 in gas going to jobs that could be done for one reason or another. One was an abandoned house with nothing but brush and trees growing around it about waste high. Next I drove what was supposed to only be 16 miles which added up to 80 round trip somehow. I get there and the address isn’t marked or doesn’t exist, can’t get ahold of customer or support (closed on weekends) this app is exactly the same as lawn love which I don’t even understand how they got through the review process. The app itself in my opinion is poorly designed and lacking in functionality. Even when I could contact support you can’t cancel the job without them singing your score. Oh and my first yard was supposed to be .14 acres and it was about an acre for $50. Do yourself a favor and stay away!

Don’t waste your time.

Horrible app. 2 weeks wait for first payout jobs wayyyyyy under priced. Better off doing it yourself. What you can make from 5 yards on this app you can make from 1 or 2 yards if you do it yourself. And they are obviously buying ratings because 8/10 of their reviews here are 1 star. How are they still able to maintain a 4.4 star rating. Impossible.

Not worth it for providers

If you’re starting a lawn care business then market and do it on your own. This app will penalize you for customers canceling on their end and no verification with their providers. Being penalized means you get no jobs. I started my own business to operate on my terms. I don’t need an app to tell me I can’t take anymore customers. They don’t care about providers as all of their customer service uses AI to respond. As a provider with a 4.8 rating being penalized for customers simply not wanting a service anymore due to budget doesn’t make sense. Get off the app and compete with their prices. *edit* After I posted this review my stats on the app completely dropped within 24 hours. I all of a sudden had 5 jobs added onto my stats that said “not complete” bringing my completion percentage down to 60% or otherwise ineligible to get new clients on the app (I didn’t have any appointments with the app this week so how did I not complete jobs I never assigned). They’re trying to kick off the providers that have complaints about the app by putting their status in red so no more jobs can be collected. If you respect your business name you won’t let a garbage app like this destroy what YOU are trying to create and build.

Scammed me out of 380$

I’ve been working on this app for 2 weeks straight and everytime I add my bank account it never tells me if it’s linked or not the app is very weird and I have a running payout for the 2 weeks I’ve worked and I was supposed to be paid this week on Monday and I have yet to receive any payouts or any updates about my payouts and I’ve rekindled my bank account again and it’s still not been given out

This app has tremendous potential if devs care about providers they’d win top app..

Well, this application here is quite useful. I must say to begin with. But unfortunately, since I have started on this application as a provider about I think two years ago now it has gone downhill quite fast and I’m just hoping that whoever developed it or bought it from whoever developed itcares enough to try to save it. The first issue I ever had was losing points for rescheduling or losing customers for making a suggestion for customers simply for certain types of side work, they may be interested in that most providers are willing to provide. If the customer rejects additional service then providers immediately lose the entire account unless they go above and beyond and call the one 800 number to try to get it straightened out. The next big problem is recent. I am a provider in Florida, where the grass grows long and thick in a very short period of time at certain parts of the year and some customers either are too cheap or simply don’t understand that once every other week at a certain time of the year is ridiculous. And I never had a problem with it until LawnStarter decided to take away our ability to charge the customer more if the grass is a certain length or higher. This lets customers be able to get away with getting their yards cut once a month at an extremely low rate and never have to pay more. It’s highly unfair and completely unreasonable to the provider to have to take three hours to mow one yard that usually would probably take an hour hour at most. I also sharpen my blades at least once or twice a week and some of these customers yards are so long by the time that I come out again that I most definitely have to mow it twice in order for it to all be cut at length. That obviously costs time and wear and tear and hours on the mower as well as gas. These developers either have never mowed a lawn or been familiar with the landscaping business in Florida or anywhere, or they are just simply trying to overwork and underpay the provider in order to make more customers happier. Another big issue that I’ve had with this application and it’s sister application Lawn Love in which I used to be a provider for, but they apparently changed the rules of being able to take on customers that are willing to as a business owner. This so-called rule is simply just a way to try to keep customers through this application rather than promoting business owners to grow and become a more larger successful business. A lot of these things could be fixed very simply

Scam

They scammed me out of almost $400. You will be working hard for free .putting wear and tear on your equipment. Buying gas ,blades ,weed eater string, and wasting your time only to never get paid for the service you provide local customers .

Has gone downhill.

Garrett Gill on

Started off as a great app, but the policies that have been put in place over the year have really made it unenjoyable. Customers will often skip a service or two and when you go to mow it is well over the 9 inch long grass fee. Due to the new rules you can’t charge a long grass fee if it has been serviced with in the month, and the pro support does absolutely nothing to help. There have been a few other issues but this is the most aggravating.
