Good approach to learning Cantonese from scratch
Easy to use. This is good to learn vocabulary, one word a day. Apparently, the example sentences to use the vocabulary uses very formal/old fashion Cantonese. I am told that you would not use it casually. Either way, it is excellent with helping me with pronunciation with the audio available.
Functionality and screen layout much improved than old versions. words now in logical categories and word type is shown (noun, verb).
Very "user-friendly" . The vocabulary is pertinent to daily use and relatively easy to understand. Great app!
No just don't get This or full nothing to do no stars
It is helping my vocab... Slowly. It would be great if the app would also pronounciate the sentences - the romanisation or sentences looks quite a bit off.... I can't make head nor tail of most of the sentences, and I've studied canto for years.
Such a shame. This app is terrible do not take it on...... now mine doesn't work at all and I just cancelled it again after I had built up a great word bank.... it just stopped woking no more new words although it would indicate every morning that a new word was waiting but that was not the case. It's a terrible shame because the concept is good but the application just doesn't follow through..... there is no way I would upgrade to the full version after I have had so much trouble with this one...
Good.
My girlfriend is Cantonese and I'm living in Hong Kong now, when I let her hear it she told me its a waste of time as nobody even speaks like that here. And she's right! What I have noticed also is some is mandarin and not even Cantonese. Wasted my time trying to download this.
