Really helpful!
I haven’t played any music for a long time and had never played saxophone before, I’ve been using the app for 2 weeks now and have found it really helpful! (I won’t say I’m amazing but I’m not awful considering the time I’ve had it) I like the lessons and the practice pieces to go with them, I’ve found the tuning feature extremely helpful with the high notes and have been using that with some of my other sheet music too! I’m not one to subscribe to things like this normally but I have done with this app, it’s probably a little bit more than I would have liked to pay per month but it’s definitely worth it while I’m still learning, I’m looking forward to more lessons being added as I’ve finished the ones available and not done any of the accidental notes yet

This looks to be a useful app
Good potential but needs improvement
+ Introduces you to the fingering using exercises + Introduces the notes and rhythms + Sleek looking interface without too much clutter - Works a bit slow on my iPad and gets glitchy sometimes, so I have to restart the song or the app altogether - Some pieces seem to be too fast-paced for beginners when it comes to rhythm. Not all pieces have a “Listen” mode to listen to what a piece should sound like - Doesn’t introduce all of the fingerings, yet the “Songs” and “Challenges” expect you to know all, e.g. flats and sharps - The notes are quite small and not easy to read on a small screen. For some reason, when I play the right notes on my alto saxophone in the “Challenges”, they seem to be off pitch-wise? Haven’t figured if I have to do some sort of transposition. Check out Yousician for benchmarking the course contents / structure and pacing and other ideas
