For some reason my colors are all mixed up. I double checked my wiring 5 times. When I select red it turns blue, green turns red, blue turns green, yellow turns purple, purple turns aqua, and aqua turns yellow. The only one that it gets right is white. I honk the problem might be in the app. I will change this review to 5 stars if you fix it. Other than that, this app works great! Thank you!
There are some cool options, such as the ability to import a photo (which unfortunately doesn’t persist through power off/on as do regular preset patterns). But setup and configuration is sketchy, and I’ve experienced an abnormal number of app crashes (iOS 14.6).
I got this because I needed it for a led project and didn’t know how to code and it works great for iPad for some reason I tried for over an hour with my iPhone and it didn’t work at all then I tried it with my iPad and it worked first try. This app definitely has some bugs but it’s not horrible. For everyone trying to use a phone try an I pad and see if it works. So far that has been my only issues but now that it works it’s fine. I hope this helps whoever needs it Edit it’s been about a week and the on,y other issue I’ve had is that my color wheel is messed up red is not green and it seems as if the colors just swapped all of them actually. This app works fine if your able to get it working but it needs a very much needed update as the last one was at the time of this review 6 months ago
If you close the app and open it later to turn off the lights, or to adjust lights. The app will not connect for find the the controller. I counted and today I refreshed 17 times and it finally found it. Later I tried again and I’m up to 33 refresh and can not find it. It is not my WiFi, I am a Certified wireless tech. I don’t have a MAC address recorded and the device doesn’t have one printed on it so I can’t see if it is connected to the network. You get what you pay for! CHEAP!
This app could be much better... Top needs: 1) Option to add and change colors on the effects 2) Daily timer 3) Categories for the effects. Instead of 180 effects to click through have 10 scene types with the effects and customizable colors 4) Add a calendar to preprogram the lights with different effects and times.
This is a fun app that has lots of options for LED strips. We have a 1080 light strip that is very long and it runs like a champ. You can even design your own show by loading in a photo or other pixel art and it will scroll it through the lights at any angle.
Having to reconfigure every time you open the app is not ideal. Running iOS 14.2
Pros. 1. Multiple ways to run with a lot of color combinations Cons. 1. It want remember your controller and if you’re not careful with the settings it may not work. 2. There is no schedule to turn the LED on or off 3. No link to IFFT or Google Home
