I had never seen that unfunctional app in my life!
Bad reviews all over here I was looking into maybe renting but review after review NO THANX CUSTOMERS SERVICE IS LIFE...
I couldn’t remember which third party login I used with this service, and tried the wrong one. I was prompted to merge accounts, at which point my login was suspended from both. I tried setting up a new account using a different third party login, and once again was instructed to merge accounts and was once again suspended with no way to fix the issue. Customer service was able to help, but merging accounts should not lock one out when the original accounts were verified. Major user experience issue that needs to be fixed. The service is great, the app needs work.
Rented a family van returned the vehicle on a full tank. The employee was very rude and intentionally ignored me twice when I asked where should I park the van. I didn’t let it get to me though. After returning the vehicle, I received a bill over $250 for smoking in the vehicle. I DO NOT smoke nor does my mother and her sisters. The company took pics of a coffee cup that I left in the car and said it had ashes on it which is a lie. There were no ashes on the cup because no one in the vehicle smokes. They couldn’t provide any valid evidence that indicates smoking in the car. Even if they did find traces of smoking, it had to be one of the employees. I have the money to pay the bill, but I refuse to pay for a penalty fee that I shouldn’t have received. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to rent from this company. However, if u choose to do so, please cautious. Take pictures of the interior and exterior of the vehicle when u pick it up and return it. Be careful out there.
Our car broke down in the middle of our trip. Our itinerary did not allow us to stay with the car. We reported the car is broken down on the app. We left the car in a safe place. Get around offered zero refund for the time the car was not used. I suppose this is the risk that you take when you are using someone’s personal vehicle. But be aware, get around offers no coverage for circumstances similar to ours and has poor customer service.
Everything went smoothly, got my deposit back after a week, just have to note all the blemishes you notice, currently it’s my got to rental service.
READ THIS! The address they give you is the address of the owner and not where the car is. So I ended up paying 70 bucks for an uber to the wrong location. Then i called customer service and no response. Plus it’s much much much cheaper to go with ANY car rental
Helpful policy that allows people under 25 to get a fair rate (if you are 22 you’ll pay a lower fee than someone who is 18), but the app is buggy and poorly designed. If you don’t share your location, then they ask you what city you’re in every time you open the app, even if you already have a trip booked. The inspection is ridiculous because they only prompt you to take 4 exterior pictures and 2 interior pictures which is not nearly enough to document all parts of the car. It should be at least 8 exterior pictures and at least 8 interior pictures. And the trip end inspection is confusing.
My girlfriend said the rental was very pricey, there is just so many taxes and fees, and to rent a car for 1 day was just ridiculously expensive, and its not like I rented a Tesla. Just a simple car yet the cost was insane, please revise fees!
Hidden fees! speaks for itself honestly. I was going to book a 3 hour trip. came out to $30 okay cool, used a promo code so now $10. that’s amazing. incoming fees: pay for your own gas? okay makes sense honestly. $10 service fee? for what? $33 booking fee? what is the service fee then? $10 under 25 fee? $3000 security deposit??????? a $10 reservation became $70+, and that’s not including the RIDICULOUS security deposit and that’s not even with insurance btw. absolutely insane
