LEGO BOOST set (17101) Feature List
- Includes 844 LEGO® pieces, plus a LEGO Move Hub, Interactive Motor and a Color & Distance Sensor.
- Move Hub features Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity, 2 encoded motors, activation button, internal tilt sensor and a light.
- Interactive Motor is an encoded motor.
- Color & Distance Sensor detects distance, motion and color, and can also function as a light.
- Create and code Vernie the Robot, Frankie the Cat, the M.T.R.4 (Multi-Tooled Rover 4), the Guitar 4000 and the AutoBuilder.
- Rotate Vernie’s head to activate its shoulder-mounted spring-loaded shooter.
- Build the M.T.R.4 (Multi-Tooled Rover 4) and try out the different tool and customization attachments for an array of exciting activities.
- Learn songs and rock out with the Guitar4000!
- Look after your own pet with Frankie the Cat. Be sure to feed it the right food—or it might get upset!

Cool robot, but app is a bit so so
The robot kit itself is of usual Lego quality, but in translating the app to Norwegian, Lego should probably have invested a little more effort. The spoken language is at best quasi-Norwegian, at worst gibberish-Danish. I hope Lego will take the quality level a bit further and release an update with better spoken language. Currently my son doesn’t understand what his robot is saying most of the time. Also the app should be a little bit more robust when someone (unwittingly) switches apps with gestures that are similar to dragging blocks from the bottom drawer upwards.
Nice set
It’s nice because you can build several projects with the same set and that you can learn how to program with scratch like programming. I don’t like the motors go and stop and it would be nice to have it open to other languages like python as an evolution perspective.
Frankie the Cat is AMAZING!!!
I just simply love Frankie. He’s funny, cute and entertaining. My brother (3 years old) loves him, as well
