The app contains adverts which you can choose to remove by subscribing to our ad-free version.

Ease of use
The translation part of the app is good, and seems comprehensive. However,I am finding it difficult/impossible to make up lists for the training aspect, which I can then use for flash cards. I cannot find an explanation of how to optimise my use of the different constituent parts of the app
Leo - ganz große Klasse
I have been using Leo since 2001, since living in the UK and never been disappointed. I use it in both, it’s online version and as mobile app. Originally it had been recommended to me by another German working colleague, who worked at the same Local Authority in London.

My favourite dictionary app. Fast and reliable.
Wish we could save words from mobile app
Leo is my go-to German dictionary that I use all the time, as the translations and further context etc seems the best of all translations I have tried. The web version also has a great feature - if you create an account then any word you look up you can "save" and it will be added to your account to be reviewed in flashcards later, including on your iPhone. However, there is no option to save words when you look at them on the iPhone app - which is where I use Leo 95% of the time. I would gladly pay for this feature (and to lose the adverts). Seems odd that they have the feature elsewhere but not in the iPhone app. I can't even get it to work if I just use the mobile version of the website. Shame. That's the only reason I don't give this app 5*.
Most useful app for a German learner like me!
This app has all I need - Gender of words, dativ/akkusativ indications, past tense.... Of course it doesn't have all words but very useful to me. I wish this will be off line as well. But as a free dictionary app, I recommend this!
Crashing!
Recently the app has started crashing after years of working perfectly, making it totally unusable. Have had to use alternatives. Am sure my end is ok. iPhone 5; iOS 9.1
