I’ve been searching for a replacement to Photoshop Mix for weeks. This app is great. Definitely worth it for what I do. I needed a “simple” app to layer photos - so I can overlay them on each other and also cut out. This app is very intuitive, not overloaded with extra features, does what it says it does. I would pay double for it. Please keep this app functional, it is a HUGE relief. I did not want to support Ad0be because they discontinued their app support and forced users into a paid subscription, overloading the app with AI and other unnecessary features. I have been a loyal Photoshop user for 20 years but I will not support them any more. This app does not disappoint. It has convenient features at the touch a finger. Thank you so much.
Update: one of my favorite image editing apps BUT it is filled with bugs and features that don’t work the way they’re supposed to. Sometimes I have to take a screenshot of my completed image because when I save the image correctly, it doesn’t look anything like it does while editing! ——————————— Older review: I'm giving a new review since Leonardo is now os10 savvy and I recently got a iPad mini 4. I mention the two items together because the mini 4 has replaced much older iPads I had and it has a far better camera than the older iPads... but though the camera is quite good, it's still far from perfect. This is where Leonardo comes in. It is the perfect complimentary app to quickly and drastically improve the iPad's photos. It works so perfectly/easily tweaking the iPad images that it could be considered the defacto photo app for this device. The quick results are so impressive that I am getting far better looking images than phones which include superior cameras. If it only had a batch setting, this would be beyond ideal! ------------- Original write up... 'Near Perfect Image App' Though it lacks a few features which I have to revert to another app to utilize, Leonardo has such a huge assortment of professional image editing options, it has become the final defacto app for completing image edits. Puts Adobe's iPad arsenal to shame.
If you know Photoshop, you can do anything with this. That it's mobile is beyond amazing. I'm glad it's free, but can't figure why it is. It's that good. I use it every day on an iPad, and it's why I no longer bother with my desktop or laptop. The more you know, the more you'll get out of it. It's got layers, pro tools, effects, filters, press tools, and an astoundingly small footprint. My biggest fear is that a big competitor will buy and bury it like they've done with so many innovative apps they couldn't beat. PS I *think* it’s the best app for photo editing, but I never looked at any others after I found it.
This app is still super awesome and more advanced than much newer editing apps. It was way ahead of its time as far as removing backgrounds and adding layer effects etc. I do have Superimpose X. I love it too. But this is still my comfort zone go-to. I find myself in this app more than anything else I have on my 12.9 iPad Pro including Affinity products. I hope the Superimpose team continues to produce their high quality line of software. They really do make my iPad a Pro device. I also have the incredible Superimpose V, which is currently blowing away any video editor. I wish they had more representation in the art world on YouTube etc. They are being sorely overlooked. I can’t live without them lol. Thank you to the devs for such awesome software. Definite staples on my iPad.
Pinned to top of photo library access. Much too easy to click on. I would like to opt out of this.
Used to be great but with only one resolution available, “small”, since an update a few years ago, everything imports horribly low res. I’m assuming this is just on the free version to get users to upgrade. But it renders it completely useless. Plus, as mentioned, merge down function has been broken for ages. Merging layers from layer opacity adjustment menu deletes bottom layer. You can leave that and flatten, which works, but if you don’t want to flatten all layers you’re out of luck. Dev never responded to email. Oh well. In the trash.
good editor
Hi. This is a great app that I used to use for some photo editing. I just downloaded it on my new phone and I was excited to use it but for some reason every time I add an image, it’s quality becomes very poor. It didn’t do this before. How do I fix it?
This is amazing app. I keep learning more every time I use it! Thanks!
