Letterly: KI Sprache zu Text

So many of these AI powered apps turn out to be half-baked. Letterly claims they involved a team of world-classs linguists in the development of this app. After testing the app and the various specialty tools in it, I found myself-groping about the attic of my mind looking for an explanation as to why this app was so ON POINT! I decided it must be the combo of humans ( linguists) guiding the AI that yielded this result. Great job on this thing.

I own or subscribe to all the dictation apps out there: Hello, Whisper Memos, Whisper Notes, and several others that all use Whisper for voice-to-text. I've even written my own with Apple Shortcuts and Whisper API calls that do something similar to what this does. I can say, hands down, this one is my favorite. Great UI.

Review for the app, Letterly If you’re looking at the reviews for Letterly, just do yourself a favor and try it out and see for yourself. It’s been an incredible tool for me. I have been using dictation for years and while it has made me more productive and increased my writing output tremendously, the most time-consuming and frustrating part was cleaning up the accuracy and structure in my dictation. Having a tool that can structure what you dictated quickly and easily into a digestible written form is super helpful. The way we talk is not the same as the way we write, and dictation can be hard to capture some of the expectations we have from our writing, especially with structure. The design of Letterly is exceptional in that it is low friction to start recording and to generate an output. Letterly manages to restructure your writing without introducing any hallucinations or anything you did not say. The prompt design is very thoughtful in that it really constrains the results to be just what you said with no embellishments. It's a way of leveraging AI to actually make your own ideas shine rather than use other people's ideas. If you're someone who has to communicate any number of ideas, or you just want to capture ideas for your own life with things like journaling, Letterly is a great way to make that easier to do it through voice while still preserving your actual perspective in human voice. One thing I would like to see the developers add that would be a nice benefit would be to put in your own writing samples as a guide for the model to output something similar and match your voice. All of the existing templates and prompts are extremely useful. That's just one that I think would elevate it and shorten the workflow even more. Great work development team! I'm excited to use this app for years to come, and I've already recommended it to several of my colleagues. Thanks! PS: Everything above this was a result of two minutes of me sharing my thoughts about the app into Letterly, and having it structure them through the “Magic” prompt. It covered what I said faithfully, only making it easier to read—which is exactly what I wanted!

Just easy and wonderful to use. Simple interface. Great design. The AI revisions are the best I’ve seen without prompting. Buy a gift for family who want to text more but find it tedious.

I have used a lot of dictation software, and this beats them all! Even complex medical terminology is easily transcribed with the software. The only thing I would like to see added is for me to build my own templates in the app. Keep adding more features!

It has completely transformed how I take notes! The speech-to-text accuracy is impressive, and the structured output makes organizing my thoughts a breeze. Highly recommend!

I’ve consistently Journaled everyday for the past 30 days because of Letterly. My mind has been so clear due to what I’ve been doing every morning with it Every morning, I would wake up - Prep my Wife Breakfast - Thought Dump, and Speak Gratitude into letterly, Then turn it into a Journal Entry (which you can favorite) Then share it into my journaling app of choice (Journey) It’s been a game changer, and One I hope to always be able to use. There’s nothing quite like it. If you’re the developer, I hope you take advantage of this, and really take it to the moon. You have something great here. The only things I would add would be folders to be able to organize the thoughts, and iCloud Sync. An expansion that can increase revenue could be to make it into a journaling app of somesorts
