LevelFlight Pilot Reviews

Worst App for Pilots

First of all do not get this app And I do not recommend this to any company. This app is not Pilot friendly. Now I can’t even login to see my schedules which keep saying there’s an error. I wish there was a zero star if I could give it.

Will change review to 5 stars after bug fixes

Developers this review is mainly for you. I am a software engineer as well so if you need an extra pair of hands I would be happy to help. I have tested the post flight feature of the app. The new app is not a bad interface but in the pilot community it’s not being looked at as a working solution because of some bugs introduced in the new app. I will tell you about the two bugs I have found and if you can please fix these it would make my life a lot easier because as a SIC I have to put in the post flight data. Using the app would be best during the flight in real time because than I don’t have to go to the web interface on my computer later in the day. Once you fix these bugs I will change my review to 5 stars. Following are hopefully small fixes about integers and floating point numbers. This is about the post flight interface on the app and I will try to explain the bugs by relating it to the web interface. (1). When I put in the start and stop Hobbs in the app post flight interface, the text box only saves integer value, and not a floating point (decimal) value. If I try to save a decimal value than it will default it to 0.0 before saving. (2). This is probably related to above issue but I will make it a separate note. When I save the start and stop Hobbs on the web interface, the text box works as expected for decimals. However, when I look at the same post flight information on the app interface, I get the truncated integer value in the app. I do not see the decimal value that was originally put into the post flight web interface. Following is not a high priority for me but it would be nice to see a fix for this as well in the post flight app interface. (3). When I select the Approach Type as “Visual” on the web interface, it saves it on the web as I expected. But on the app interface when I open the same information, it shows as “Precision”.

Just Horrible

Unfortunately I’m forced to use this app for work. The developer needs to review basic UI / UX principles and consider starting from the ground up. Or better yet, the FlyCompliant team should hire a qualified developer to rebuild this app. I thought the original app “LevelFlight” was atrocious, but they somehow managed to make it worse with this application. It’s just as buggy as before, with constant crashes and glitches, and looks like it was designed by a high school student who’s still reading the first chapter of “The Swift Programming Language”.
