About Lexia Core5 Reading:
Personalised. Powerful. Proven. Lexia Core5 Reading accelerates the development of fundamental literacy skills for pupils of all abilities R–Y6, helping them make that critical shift from learning to read to reading to learn. Based on performance on a research-validated, adaptive auto-placement, pupils begin Core5 at the level that's just right for them. From there, Core5 seamlessly adapts with pupil performance, targets skill gaps as they emerge, and equips educators with the data and instructional resources they need to personalise instruction for every learner.
The adaptive blended learning structure embedded in Core5 provides an explicit, systematic, personalised approach to reading instruction. The program is organized around six critical areas of reading:
• Phonological Awareness
• Phonics, Structural Analysis
• Automaticity/Fluency
• Vocabulary
• Comprehension
Based on pupils' performance, Lexia's Embedded Assessment technology provides teachers and administrators real-time progress monitoring data—without stopping classroom instruction to give a test—saving up to a month of instructional time by
• identifying pupil risk levels
• predicting future performance
• prescribing instructional intensity
• providing real-time data and action plans
Within the first month of use, teachers will know each pupil's probability of meeting end-of-year benchmark, and will receive the recommended resources and intensity of instruction necessary to improve pupils’ learning trajectory. In just minutes, administrators can see a full picture of academic progress across a district, school, grade, and class, down to the individual learner, through easy-to-interpret, actionable reports.
