I tried out Liberation Philology after coming out of an excellent few months using Luli Languages' excellent Japanese flashcard programs. I am a big fan of flashcards and bought the "Academic Languages" pack (French, Spanish, German and Latin) hoping that they would provide a similar experience. Not so. LP is a very, very simple program that doesn't include anything you would otherwise expect from language learning software. There is no audio, no spaced repetition, and no lesson or review structure — just sets of cards staggered into "levels" that you are expected to hammer away at for however long you please. Honestly, just use Anki. Everyone else uses it for a reason.
