I’m enjoying this app so far, but it would be much more intuitive for those of us with large collections to see the books listed in our libraries with their cover images like the web version. Hoping you make this update soon!
I like that it’s easy to use BUT I would prefer to see the cover art of the books I have scanned versus just seeing the name and author in a list format. All other similar free and paid apps offer this feature. If Libib did then it would be a superior app.
I had too much fun scanning my books. The only suggestion would be to offer an option to look up books by ISBN or title for those that don’t have a readable bar code, instead of having to type everything in my hand.
My partner and I have a large manga collection (currently 818 volumes) and it can be hard to keep track of which volumes we have especially since we pick up a lot second hand so sometimes get them out of order. Like having 1,2,5,8,&12 because they were at Half Price Books, with plans to fill in gaps later cause we know the series is good. This app makes it so much easier, scan books when we get them so if we’re out and see vol 5,6,7 we can easily confirm already having 5 (to use the random number from earlier) especially when we have so many different series we collect
I just downloaded this and scanned my books. In ten minutes I got out, scanned and put back 120 books. A few days ago I typed a list out of all of them in my computer…it took HOURS and wouldn’t solve the on the fly question…do I already have this book??? IYKYK 👍🏻
Love having an easy way to catalogue my books, games, and movies. In the future would love a way to search my catalogue by theme, genre, etc. Also, want to add puzzles as a category??💙
I collect photography books, Libib make it very easy to catalog them.
Super easy to get started and use! Would love to have more organizable details like separate subtitle, series, book/cd/dvd # out of #, and media (hard cover/paperback/dvd/bluray) lines. And see cover thumbnails. Also if using multiple sources, to be able to pick which one to use. And clean up conversion into text like ‘ and & being jargled and needing edits.
I appreciate how user friendly the app is and how it allows me to easily organize my collection. However, I wish the book covers would be displayed in the collections list in the app. Although the online instructions suggest enabling “show cover images” in the settings, the option is not available in the app. If the ability to view cover images in the collection list is added, it would make the app a perfect 5/5 for me.
