I love it and would give it 4 or 5 stars if they fixed one major problem. If you live in or use it in an area with a sketchy internet connection, it doesn’t really synchronize and let you know if you are disconnected. It will sit there with the time running out on the other player making you think you’ve won until it finally reconnects and says you lost because you timed out! That is infuriating. It should provide a warning and then maybe I could move to get a better signal. It’s fine at home, but when traveling it is untrustworthy. So aggravating. Please fix this.

I have to give this a 0 based solely on the quality of player. Once you get to a higher rating I’d say at least 15-20% of your opponents are cheating. You can verify this by game review. Unfortunately due to the amount of people using engines It is impossible to ban a fraction of them. Those that do get banned instantly make another account in under 60 seconds and continue right where they left off at. This APP is just like any other multiplayer app/game that’s played today………completely and totally ruined by trash cheats

Garbage app, can’t even get paired into a game.

Incredibly laggy during games, especially late game during time scrambles. Additionally, the board is sometimes buggy thinking you’re selecting different squares than where you choose. Lichess is far superior to Chess.com on their website platform but the app is just so awful and ruins the experience on a phone/tablet

Stockfish 14.1 is getting a bit long in the tooth

So when I turn on the best move arrow setting in the analysis board, it doesn’t work. On my computer, it does. To replicate this bug, go to the analysis board, press the best move arrow setting, and see that it doesn’t work.

This app is really unrefined. No arrows for showing premoves makes solving puzzles much more annoying than on a PC. Also bullet games are very difficult on iphone compared to PC. iPhone users should automatically have more time added per move due to the input interface disadvantage, or just make PC players not match against mobile players.

Sum up lichess, its nothing but chess engines. The lichess forums is full of comments from 2000 elo players getting smoked in games. Play an engine, you are anyways. My lichess strategy personally is scorched earth. I open 20 tabs 15 min games , play a single move and go watch a video. If i want to play chess i play irl or offline pc. Lichess lets not pretend you have any power okay? You can time out my acct for 20 minutes as if you have the authority to punish. I have 20 accts, its a facade. You have no authority

Toxic community and hacking is allowed. They don’t do anything about it.
