Description

Clarify and focus who you are created and called to be using LifeJournal. LifeJournal is a beautifully designed Christian journal and planner app to help you organize your day, accomplish your goals, and grow in your faith.
Our prayer for the LifeJournal (Gospel focused) community is that God would use this tool to bring direction and order to what is very often a chaotic and scattered day.
We are unapologetic in our belief that goal setting and productivity are not separate from or at odds with spiritual disciplines. Instead, they work hand-in-hand, and the LifeJournal app is a catalyst to facilitate that.
Our faith and our good works should live in the same space.
LifeJournal is built to be a place to go to for your quiet time, bible study, thankfulness, sermon notes, prayer, journaling and use throughout your day for simple to-do lists, and tracking your daily routines.
The thankfulness area is just a quick place to start each day recognizing how God has blessed you or what you are grateful for that day. - Colossians 3:15
Journaling is something we all know we should do, and often just don’t find the time to include it in our quiet time or morning routine. LifeJournal makes journaling simple and provides resources to help you find easy ways to effectively journal.
The daily routines are broken into morning, daily, and evening - giving you a chance to organize your day into sections and see progress through out each and every day.
With LifeJournal you are also able to use the audio to text dictation feature and journal or create prayer journals by speaking into the app - this can even be done (safely) while driving down the road when there just isn’t time in the morning to sit down and journal your thoughts.
The prayer section gives you the option for a long form prayer (prayer journal) or a quick prayer list to go through each day. 1 Thessalonians 5:17
The sermon notes section gives you a specific place to keep notes on sermons or podcasts so you can go back and reflect on them later. Taking notes while listening has been shown to increase retention of new themes, lessons or concepts taught.
The LifeJournal Bible Study section allows you to select a chapter and verse to study, and then take notes while quickly flipping back and forth between LifeJournal and one of the most popular Bible apps.

Keeps charging my account without permission

Updated: No longer Supported. Seems to be a well developed app

Update: Started getting charged monthly in December 2023 even though I cancelled a while ago. Tried to contact Developer about the charges, but the support channels seem to be no longer available. Main site has an ad error as though the dev did not renew some type of analytics subscription. Disputing charges with my bank. I’ve been using it a bit here and there, but I do have one suggestion. I switch between my iPhone and iPad regularly (don’t always carry my iPad everywhere). It would be nice if there was sync between devices through iCloud account. If I write up sermon notes on my iPad and want to recall something on my iPhone. Or if I quickly jot down a prayer request while out and about, and then want to see that on my iPad later during my study time.

A trial would be really nice

I’m disappointed to be able to download the app to see if it might be something I’d like, buy can’t view\try anything until I buy a $60 subscription. Can I encourage you to allow a 1 day trial or something?

Something is not working

I have a subscription but I have a thing to do list to text a number of which I am unfamiliar and cannot delete it. Where are the instructions?

Super Basic

Inspiredhope52 on

I expected more from this app, I was kind of disappointed. It’s very basic, the features are rough, they’re not very customizable. The level and caliber of digital journaling I am accustomed to this is something good for maybe a child, or beginner. I expected more for the $60 price tag, this apps features do not justify the price tag.

Reminders?

yehniceone on

United States

Great app! I think a couple of minor improvements would take it to the next level. One of those would be reminders. Is there a possibility to be able to set reminders and create date-specific events? (i.e. an integrated Calendar). Another suggestion is to add the Bible app button that is also in the Bible Study section to the sermon notes section.

Great app for Christian prayer life

I’m just getting started with LifeJournal but I like the way it helps you manage your goals, your prayer life, and your discipleship. Keep it up.

Perfect on paper and in digital form

cmusselwhite21 on

The life journal is an app that has a paper feature (pdf) that I like. Sometimes I like to write things out by hand first and then add it to my app. The layout of the life journal and focus on the christian life is refreshing and helps me focus on what I need to get done.
