Have been using this app for years. Great way to wake up with gradual increase in light output and birdsong. Helps me get out of bed feeling refreshed.
Wish you could choose the font size and type. Current font is too ‘fat’ to make out the difference between some numbers through sleepy eyes. Also if I use it on an iPad, I can’t choose to have the entire background get lighter, not just the size of an iPhone background. Otherwise, I love it and use it daily.
You can’t turn the sound alarm option off. Defeats the purpose for my needs - also an easy fix on their part but no...
Every night you have to reset this thing. I’d give it 5 stars if you could set it and not have to worry about it
Love the idea but the flaws short circuit the benefits. There’s no way to turn off the time light while sleeping so I have to put the phone face down so my sleep won’t be disturbed which means the light alarm is useless. But I was using it anyhow for the bird alarm, until this morning. This morning I tapped the screen for snooze (just a corner because the phone is face down to handle the first flaw) and the app never unsnoozed. Turns out the app put up a modal dialog wanting me to rate it and the alarm was off when I needed snooze. Dumb move given I wound up sleeping too late because of that. The combination of these flaws make this app unreliable. And the tragedy is that the flaws are design choices that don’t need to be there. Hope the developer fixes the flaws and good luck! For now I need a workable light alarm clock. I’m going to shell out the bucks to buy a physical dedicated light alarm clock that doesn’t have these flaws today.
There are times when I think my alarm is going off only to realize it is the birds outside my window. It is both a good thing (as it is a natural wake up call) and an annoying thing (on some days I want to sleep in)!
works well but night mode needs a fully black background. Would be nice to integrate a weather app upon turning off alarm
No difference in functionality between the free version and the paid. Setting max brightness for wake up means you need to sleep with it at max brightness. Both brightness and volume of audible alarm do not remember the setting day to day. Both light and sound need to remember where user wants them to start and be able to increase in brightness and volume gradually. Hitting snooze should not eliminate the vibration alert at the actual set time. Should also have a STOP or END button, not a double tap to end as it’s very easy to double tap and end when You only want to snooze. This is a very very basic app for a premium price.
Simple and works OK. Sometimes it resets the brightness level on my phone display in general. And it will keep nagging you to rate the app, which is pretty annoying. I’m hearing impaired so I needed something to wake me with light. Light is not nearly as effective as an actual sound alarm, though—I have slept right through this light “alarm” several times. If you are capable of hearing a sound alarm, don’t waste your time on this.
