I used cortex cam for years with a similar stacking methodology. I switched to light stack when I couldn’t reinstall cortex cam and it’s a great alternative. I’d argue the long exposure effect is far better than cortex cam. One I item I wish for is the ability to enhance resolution from stacking as well.
This app does a great job at blurring water over long exposures. Also, the TIFF files that it can output appear uncompressed. I only wish the telephoto shots on the iPhone 14 Pro were more stable.
I love the freedom of being able to take long exposure photos without a tripod. I captured a gorgeous image at the beach today while carrying my baby in one arm and the iPhone in the other hand. It is tack-sharp. Incredible. Never would have been able to 1) bring a tripod or 2) capture this photo without the app. And the price is very low for what you get. A no-brainer for iPhone photography enthusiasts!
So far app has worked very well, and I don’t know how they do it, but it just works. There are also plenty of formats from which to choose, jpeg, heif, TIFF, etc. Their other app, Slow Shutter Cam, has always been one of my go-to apps for many years and it is top notch, as well. Keep up the good work!
