When the bulbs eventually get set up, it works great … for a while. But the app interface is very unintuitive and the process of pairing lights and switches, setting up groups and scenes is a massive pain. When you have a lot of lights like we do, this takes half a day.

I spent a fortune on Osram bulbs as I thought a well known make would be more reliable. However, I’ve been informed that from September 2021, I will know longer be able to use the lights through my Alexa. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Updated the app and now unusable

It's a shame that Osram is turning off the cloud service. Lightify provides one of the easiest to use and most effective packages of scheduling and colour programming features of any smart light service. The colour cycling programming and dynamic pre-sets are beautifully designed. I can see that the app now provides local non cloud based features so I'm happier than I was yesterday but I can't tell if the offline functions include sunset scheduling and dynamic presets. Also I'm not sure how I'm update the firmware of the lights without Osram's cloud service. This could have and should have been a Hue beating ecosystem for price and quality. It's good to see that Osram is updating the app to provide customers with some sort of continuity of service. Many companies wouldn't do this.

I bought the gardenpole lights and I didn’t realise that they need a gateway but I had a Philips hue hub because I have Philips hue items so I paired them with that with the Philips hue app then I bought a osram gateway, 3 outdoor plugs and 4 bulbs so I connected them with the osram app and I left the gardenpole lights with Philips hue and everything works perfectly, would recommend.

Have tried to pair a light bulb for over an hour now the software just does not recognise the bulb, I have tried all the factory resets it flashes put will not connect Rubbish system

Whoever wrote and verified this app code is unbelievably incompetent

Easy to name each bulb to for example house location. Easy to program light to cycle different colours. Works over wifi and 4G.

I was hoping finally to be able to control the lights via the new iOS Siri shortcuts (like the way I can now control my Hive lights here in the UK). Unfortunately it looks like this option has been overlooked in the new update - sad.

Spent a fair bit of money for gateway and lights. Once set up expect to work seamlessly. However every day I find that the lights no longer respond to the app or Alexa. I have to switch on and off the lights five times at 5 second interval per bulb, to reset them and start the app and Alexa again. This happens almost every day. This is no way to operate lights. Looking to another lighting system. Anyone looking for lightify gateway and 8 osram bulbs hardly used!
