This is the new official Lightwave Link Plus app to manage the amazing Lightwave Smart Home Platform with your iPhone, iPod or iPad.*
The Lightwave Smart Home Platform allows you to monitor and control lighting, power and heating whether you are in the home, or out and about, using a smart-phone, tablet or PC. The product range consists of attractive and affordable dimmer switches, power sockets and thermostatic radiator valves, plus a large range of other innovative products, some of which are simple plug ‘n’ play and others that can be easily retrofitted by any competent DIYer. All devices communicate wirelessly eliminating the need for any additional wiring.

The Lightwave Smart Home app allows you to:
• Setup your WiFiLink and products in minutes.
• Monitor, control and schedule lighting, power and heating requirements by individual room
• Define and name Rooms that reflect the layout of your own home
• Allocate and name devices within each room
• Set Moods by room for lighting and power – for example, fully on for cleaning, some lights dimmed and the TV off for reading, and nice and cosy dimmed lights when watching TV
• Build complex events to turn on or off multiple devices across many rooms with one button
• Schedule single devices or events to activate at certain times by day, week and month
• Automatically link schedules to sunrise and sunset times
• Add random delays to events to create that genuine “look like you’re at home when you’re not at home”
• Schedule heating programmes by individual room
• Add our energy monitor to see your electricity usage real-time, and totals so far today and yesterday
And you can do all of these things even if you were on the other side of the world!

Concept is great but still a bit buggy
Have been a customer for years, using Dimmer switches, relays and then TRV’s. Reliability is good for the most part but disappointed it’s still a bit buggy, with some activations triggered in error by system. e.g. lights switched on by heating signal or wrong light activated by timer. (and TRV’s are noisy) Frustrating, given that it’s not new software/hardware. Tech support is variable - generally ok but not great. Still on the slow side. Overall still good but a lot that still has to be done to improve reliability and customer experience for products that are by no means low cost.

Good control for smart home kit
We use a variety of Smart Home apps to control various things around our home. The Lightwave app makes it particularly easy to programme schedules compared to some other devices. Pairing a Lightwave device to the Lightwave hub is very smooth too. But connecting that hub to Apple Home takes a bit of perseverance. Would be five stars of the Apple Home integration was slicker.

Brilliant
Latest update has removed ability to add older dimmers
After the latest update the app has “forgotten” half of my dimmers. All are the older connect series and they have now removed the option to add these so now cannot use the app to add or control older connect series. Very poor show this needs to be added back immediately.

Fantastic system for lights and power sockets
Great control of the lights and sockets and combined for endless automation possibilities. New products being added and software adapting all the times to improve the products.

Great App, but continually prompted to upgrade to paid for version.
App was great until 24 hours ago
I’ve been using the app for a few months now without hiccup. That changed yesterday when the App failed to load. Ticket raised with support but no response yet. The technology is integral to every day life now and needs out of hours support.
