Lime Reviews

Scammed me

Jazmyn brown on

United Kingdom

They made me pay £9.24 for a ride even though my ride was only £3.99

Parking zones make it pointless

Javs0191 on

I’ve been using the Lime bikes for a few years and I could deal, with the slow app and the fact that sometimes there aren’t any available nearby and involved a bit of walking which is great. However sometimes i use it to get to places faster and the convenience of being able to park anywhere, as long as it’s by a parking bay or not blocking anywhere. When the camera vans out i thought it was great. However with this brew “law” where you have to park in certain spots, to where i have to cycle for note than 5 mins, in the electric bike, to then come back to my destination, makes me waste money and more importantly time. Think it may be the time to start looking for alternatives such as forest bikes which don’t have this parking rule.

Meh to great

Let's start with the very idea of this service being great: electric powered bikes to tour a major city? Fabulous . Problems initially with an imperfect app, but service behind the scenes seems to be fixing things quickly. At least, making up for the IT team as they resolve them. So.. very happy now, and grateful for what makes getting around London 100x easier

Try, try, try again

My debut with Lime. Don’t know why it took about 10 goes on 7 bikes to scan in successfully. A seasoned user couldn’t help, either. Finally one worked. Pleasant ride, powerful motor. Not sure how parking areas work…..

About the ride

zezemidnite on

Ride was not smooth, move very slow and seat in comfortable

Not great - drains battery

this.guy on

I shouldn’t open the app to look for nearby bikes, then the next day see my GPS is still being used by Lime because I didn’t “force quit “ the app. Yet somehow it takes a few seconds to find my location when I am trying to end a ride. Too many steps to end a ride which ultimately means they can charge you for a longer journey. Aside from these issues… it does what it needs to. Generally responsive customer service when bikes have been faulty though process for getting a refund could be easier. And it’s too expensive for casual riders.

App is developed by Off-Shore Idiots

Olivier Levine on

United Kingdom

Seriously this app could've been made by a bunch of schoolchildren it's so bad. The worst thing is that it suffers from a huge memory leak: 200MB ->time-> 22GB

Fun ride

Ste Brit on

United Kingdom

Lots of fun will definitely be going on another ride 🤣🤣

Great but service needs improvement

Oratsz on

United Kingdom

App works well and the bundles are great, coverage in London is fairly extensive, however there aren’t enough bikes around, I end up not using all the minutes in bundles simply because I can’t find bikes available. Also parking rules are changing and shifting which creates some confusion at times. Need more bikes and more parking bays on the road, or at least increase the duration of the bundles. Maintenance of bikes could be improved too.

Bad buggy app

Hayley rose 1993 on

Non responsive, terrible app, I have to keep hard closing the app Every time I use it.
