Problem with the homework submitting thing

Obnoxious_Kid on

I don’t really like the homework-submitting system, as it puts the homework in my Photos every time I submit it. It’s kinda annoying for me.

Ok this app is great I must say but the things people say in the “most critical” section is insane. “oh id rather stare at a wall for six hours than go through one class” buddy trust me, I have stared at a wall for 2 hours, never had been ok ever since. And class is supposed to be boring how is this any different from average middle school periods? “EWW I hate Chinese and I want to murder it🔪🇨🇳” this sounds like a child wrote this, buddy you cant just say you want to kill 18.41% of the population just cuz learning Chinese is a very hard thing. “THE TEACHERS ARE LYING 🤥 I SWEAR THEY SAID IT WAS THIS BUT I HEARD THEN SAY IT LIKE THIS😱😱” I have been with is app for 2 years and not ONCE had the teachers have been wrong. You probably heard wrong. I respect the other 1s review that are trying to get the company’s attention because of some rude teachers or bugs but I’m just pointing out the crazy reviews.

I would say the teachers do a bad job teaching. Most of the time they say that this should be last written or something is pronounced this. But then they change it! I swear they are lying! The teacher said 蝉 was pronounced “chàn” but then they say that it is actually “chán”! I feel like I’m being scammed because they would not tell the actual answer until were going over it or reading the story for the second time!

The UI is fine, but childish. For the homework, the audio is very choppy is you are wearing earbuds/TWS. The teachers are meh, they do not encourage taking notes in class, unless it is the word they are teaching you (which is like 5 per week). The words that we learn is like in a very super weird order, I “learned” how to read and write 你 and 我 at like lesson 80. I’m current at lesson 100 and taking the “advanced” course (so believe me, I know what they are teaching), and I have learned only a couple of auxiliary verbs, prepositions, colors, clothes, places, connectors (as a whole) in mandarin. Also the teachers taught me the grammar at lesson 70 or so. I’d say you would know 85% of the words they are teaching if you know HSK1 and a bit of HSK2. To be honest, I would spend that hour a week reading flashcards and watching chinese movies. The teachers are good at teaching either way, so if you want to get your very young (5-10) child to learn some random chinese words, then go right ahead. Also, a tip for parents, please talk to your kid in Mandarin often, especially if they do small things like point at a rock and say ”这是石!!!“, although its gonna take a long time for them to reach the lesson to learn the word 是.
