It’s just what I really wanted.. thank you!!
Just getting started with this particular platform, but so far I am in love with the fact that I can upload the many books, graded readers, vocabulary lists, and other written materials I’ve gathered this year and the AI feature automatically turns them into lessons that keep my interest and teach me a lot. Please note, it’s unwise to use this platform if you aren’t at least done with A1-level in your target language and preferably halfway through A2.
I’ve struggled to read in French but LingQ makes it very seamless and I’ve been able to read so much more than I would have otherwise. Would recommend if you are looking to increase your immersion in a foreign language. Also very easy to upload your own files and lessons.
The app is very poorly designed. I cannot figure out how to use it.
I have the paid version and found this just OK. I won't be using it much longer because it didn't live up to expectations. I went with this app because it showed the ability to quickly look up new vocabulary and save for later to study. Nouns must include singular and plural to properly study. Verbs must have full conjugations to study otherwise it's guess work especially when dealing with irregular verbs. On top of all this, I'm finding incorrect translations that create confusion. Automated translations are far from perfect. Bottom line is that I need a proper understanding when learning a language and the flaws definitely cause self doubt if anything is accurate. Real human made educational resources are best.
Happy Father’s Day to Steve. You and your son have made a great app. Not made for incipients but very easy to learn languages with some grasp.
This is the best learning app I ever found, and I used so many. It’s the only app I pay money for.
I think I signed up with Sign in with Apple on my iPad. I am trying to sign in on my iPhone to use this on my commute to work on the bus. When I try Sign in with Apple it never works, no error, nothing. So I tried the “magic link” email option and that gives the same experience, nothing, at least show me a failure message. Feels like an incomplete app.
I’d probably have about $100 by now for the amount of times I’ve recommended this app for prospective linguists and language learners. This App has taken my seemingly far-far-away desire to learn Japanese and skyrocketed 🚀my conceptions and progress on how I can learn things by myself through the power of reading. In fact, I probably should have wrote this review in Japanese to showcase how awesome this app is (まだまだですけど😮💨). That being said, I have a couple of notes for improvement. One: Make the sentence UI save larger phrases. In the case of Japanese, Each kana/okurigana is registered as a single word. The length of sentences you find at more advanced level readings demand (at least for me) that you make LinqQ’s of larger chunks. But there’s only so much space that I can make for a phrase notecard, that I end up having to input the sentence into a second app’s dictionary. Can you make it larger? Two: Through the apps updates or something, the app seems to forget my reader default settings, ex: Don’t turn past pages into known words/ don’t automatically turn words into LingQ’s. Am I the only one experiencing this?? それ以上 (That’s all). Love the app, GOgo LingoSteve and team. I look forward to using this app as I begin to tackle Arabic. P.S. When will you add Nepali or Mesopotamian “Iraqi” Arabic?
This, out of all my language learning apps is the best one. It’s definitely worth the subscription fee.
