The app only flags ingredients existing on the database. If it scans one that is not listed in the database, it ignores it without telling us. That’s really not ok. It should show a list of identified ingredients and those which weren’t, so the user can research about them. Additionally, if I point the scanner at the wall, it says that is has not found any dangerous ingredient, meaning that if the app does not scan anything, it says the same thing as if it has and found it to be safe. So, when I scan a product and it shows the same message, how am I supposed to know if it has scanned properly the ingredients or if it hasn’t scanned anything? Really had my hopes up, this is a widely necessary app, but now I find it hard to trust it.
