Very American
Not good for phonics !
Amazing teaching resource
Wow! What a fantastic app. As a teacher with a special needs class I wanted an app to support letter formation (the iPads are a big motivation). I was happy with the tracing function but not overly impressed with American pronunciation until... In the settings you can record all of the letter sounds yourself!!! Hooray! Even more impressive you can add your own words with picture and recording. I've added high frequency and tricky words. I let the kids loose on it tomorrow... Can't wait :)
Letter formation
Great because it doesn't allow the child to form a letter wrong.
Little wonder
This app is so close to perfection.... Lots of similar apps including all the paid ones - don't actually teach correct letter formation: somewhat important for an app which is designed to teach letter formation. I'd love to see a cursive version so that when my 18 month old (who took an hour to complete his first "written" alphabet on his own) grows older he can get to grips with it on his iPad :-)
