Booked days in advance then the office called to triple the price 40 minutes before pick up. No thanks.
Impressed with the app, I booked a taxi the night before for a pickup this morning. At the time the pickup was due, the cab was still on the other side of Reading, 14 minutes away. The whole point of scheduling was to get to a train on time, but now I’m late and missed my train. The one thing you need from a taxi firm is timeliness. I won’t be using it again.
Used to make bookings easy, now it always says ‘unavailable try prebooking’ except this company don’t allow short pre bookings, so it’s useless. A local company that now just chases the big airport transfer pre-bookings, but even then you still can’t use the app, shame.
BEWARE !!! Terrible experience & this 10+ year loyal customer is now looking for a new cab company in the Reading area. A real shame as Loddon Cars used to be really good. So what went wrong ? Well, what went right ? Pre-booked an airport pickup at Luton for 3 adults with a drop-off en-route - so far so good. Plane lands 5 mins early, I turn my phone on, & it rings 3 times before we have even got off the plane with the firm chasing us asking us where we are. Unfortunately UK Border Force weren't helping as it took us over an hour to clear security, during which time I had another 4 phone calls from both the driver and the office basically blaming me for the queue - have they forgotten how airports work during the pandemic ??? Plane lands, passengers need to get off, clear security, and get luggage - how they could possibly expect us to be ground-side 1 minute after landing is just mind-boggling !!! But that's not all - I had prepaid the fare (which was already over £100). And there was the short stay car parking to cover so I'm OK with that (even if it is £9.50 for half an hour at Luton !). But then the taxi driver says "well I had to wait for you so you actually owe me £36" !!! OK I think, at least it's over so I give him £40 and we head inside, glad to be home, Only then my phone starts ringing and it's the office saying I need to pay for the parking and waiting and asking for ANOTHER £40 !!!! I started to lose it now and when I explained that I had just paid the driver £40 in cash to cover that I was told that "I don't know what your problem is. The driver met you and had to wait. And, well, there's other fees - so it might be maybe another £15". They sent me a link and I paid it but BEWARE - surely no customer should have to pay three separate invoices for one taxi ride !!! Utter rubbish and I suggest customers use one of the many other taxi firms in the area. Loddon may suffice for local rides but if you want an airport transfer, don't put yourself through it - go elsewhere is my advice...

Call them instead. App confirmed a booking, no car turned up, they don't have any record. App looks cool but that's not good enough. Now driving to the wedding. Thanks.
The app isn’t working it won’t let me sign up, but I hear Loddon cars are really good.
Real problems with the app. Trying to book for next week Never saw anything asking about dates. Ended up calling for cab at once so had to phone & cancel. Charming man answered the phone aware of my problem. I said I would persevere with using the app. and got the outbound journey booked but phoned him back when the date of my return changed after I typed it in for the fourth time. A page with date, time, pick up, drop off, size of vehicle & the price is all I need LMM
