Lofi Ping Pong FAQ
Is Lofi Ping Pong free?
Yes, Lofi Ping Pong is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Lofi Ping Pong legit?
🤔 The Lofi Ping Pong app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
This game combines my two favorite things; lofi and ping pong. The gameplay is really nice but there are some improvements that can be made.
The ui is not optimized for my iPhone 12. The white home button thing at the bottom of my screen blocks the text in the main menu. The ui is made for displays with rectangular edges, while on my phone the edges are round. This results in the buttons and text in the corners being only half-readable. This barely impacts the general gameplay but improvements on that would be nice. Also a feature to enable swipe instead of tap so you could swipe left or right to hit the ball on the sides would be nice. Overall great game! One euro well spent.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE GAME EVER.
Please add more levels. I beat it in two hours. It was so much fun. Thank you for this game.
Needs a better tutorial to be perfect
It’s irritating not being told what was wrong with the game until I came here and read someone’s review explaining that you have to tap inside the square on the beat itself to not get a strike, and to progress the game forward act as a metronome that’s deciding which square to hit at the exact moment a metronome would. Music is good, the story ran a lot deeper than expected for such a short game with little context, but overall explain the tutorial better people would love this game more
Great
Phenomenal game glad I bought it back in 2021 I love games like this
Fun for the price
I got it for free, but this game is usually 0.99 cents, which is still pretty cheap.
Pros:
The pricing, fair, but also reasonable
The gameplay, reminds me of an old bemani title, something along the lines of reflecbeat, which the ball bouncing around the table.
The music, I don't listen to much lofi, but I can groove to this music, so it's aight. I like Kovox Pitch's (the other rhythm game made by the dev, it's only on steam though) music a lot more though. (Favorite track: forever)
The art style, the menus look like they've been pulled from an old computer os, and the art itself is crisp and smooth. (Fits the music too!)
The cons:
Judgement is sound based, which I like (it is a rhythm game after all!) but the judgement strays from when the ball hits the judgement line (this can be patched!)
Tl;dr: it's good for the price, but it does have an issue which does take you out of the flow state.
4.5/5 good job!
Superb Mobile Game
The art style is beautiful and the gameplay is extremely relaxing, especially with the synced hits of the ball. The only things I can critique are the length, and the lack of an infinite version. The ending is also kind-of confusing. The music is very good though and the game overall exceeded my expectations ten-fold
Relaxing, but confusing at first
Really simple, short game and has relaxing music. I think the tutorial could be explained better; you have to tap INSIDE the little squares, not on the screen itself. Another thing is that you need to make sure you tap to the BEAT, not when you think the ball is going to go into the square. There is some delay in between, so go with the beat.
I had the same issues with playing the game at first like other reviews, but I think my performance slightly improved when I turned off the camera movement and zoom in the settings, so hopefully that works for you too.
Overall, I like the music and vibe of the game. It’s really simple and can be played at any time. You can re-play songs after you finish them in story mode and set different game rules for them, so there’s some replay-ability.
Some things I would suggest is definitely a redo of the tutorial section so people don’t get confused. It also feels like the story isn’t finished, and I’m not sure if the developer is planning on adding more info? I do wish more could be explained about the main character though. One last thing is a zen mode where you can play infinitely without strikes, which would be nice.
Good idea
I love the idea but it’s just so difficult. I’ll keep up with the rhythm great but if I miss it just by a millisecond it screw’s me up for the rest of the game and I can’t even get through the first stage. Which that may be my problem but I was reading the reviews and many people are having the same issues.
Wonderful
Bad comments are because it is hard. Once you get the groove going, its amazing. Huge thank you to the developer for including input from the arrow keys on an external keyboard. One suggestion would be to put the song title and bpm on the screen in game. I’d buy this game 10x over, bravo!
Great game. One amazing feature would be a zen mode
If a zen mode with no consequences could be added it would really bring the vibe up.
