Looking4Cache is a app with a wide set of functions around the fascinating hobby geocaching. With direct access to over two million geocaches on Groundspeak´s Geocaching platform you can search for a box nearly everywhere.

In seconds you can store geocaches including all informations like the last logs, the waypoints and the images to your device over the direct API access (for this please read the annotation on the bottom). Or you can import a gpx file or a pocket query. All data will be stored on your device for offline usage.

Log your founds with trackables instantly or after your trip in the app. You can upload fieldnotes to the geocaching website too. And this not only for you but also for your complete team.

To save power the GPS accuracy will be switched based on the distance to your next target.

Load Geocaches:
- through the Geocaching Live API
- load Pocket Queries or geocaching.com Lists
- import own GPX files
- GCVote integration

Manage lists:
- add Geocaches to lists
- use a lot of filers and sorts
- swipe a cache to build lists for your next trip

Maps:
- Online OpenStreetMap and Bing
- Online Apple Maps
- Send coordinates to other navigation apps

Log Geocaches:
- for multiple users
- with a log drafts, multiple for each log type possible
- log Travelbugs
- save logs locally
- Fieldnotes

Attention: To access the geocaches you need a user on Groundspeak´s Geocaching plattform (.com). According to your membership type the amount of data is restricted. Basic Members could load 3 full cache descriptions per day and up to 6000 basic descriptions. As a Basic Member the geocache search is restricted to traditional caches. To get full access and use all functions of this app you should have a premium account.

Attention: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Not bad app

Fairly self explanatory and easy to use

Basics ok

Setup is a bit of a pain as is trying to find caches at a different location until you get used to UI. If you follow the HTML links to get more detail on caches don't expect to get back to the app. The banner advert overlays this so you need to kill the app and reload.

Brilliant offline app

Absolutely ideal for using when there is no signal. An essential tool for offline caching.

It's ok for free

I don't find it the most intuitive, but I use the free version and with it I have found many caches when all I had was my iPhone, so it does the job.

Naff app

This used to be a good app until it was "improved"! Now it won't open at all! Also I have to give it 1 star otherwise I can't post my comments!

Potentially a good app BUT

Downloaded ok and takes a fair amount of fiddling around to setup as you want. The Lite version restricts you to 3 downloads every 24 hours. By upgrading to the Pro version it makes no difference to the number of downloads unless you pay yet more money. Does not seem to be much difference between the Lite or Pro version.

Rubbish!

Couldn't get it to load properly, and kept stopping me from creating an account.

Brilliant caching app

This app is easy to read, which means when out caching details can be easily found. The changes of colour detail makes it even better. I found it a little difficult to use at first but it does come easier with use.

Latest update flaky

Current aversion introduced erratic behaviour after targeting a cache, with constant uninitiated flipping between screens. Previously good.

This app needs serious work

Firstly the design of the app is not appealing, the icons are stretched and warped and does not look polished. Secondly it's not straight forward to use, the only instructions you get are to sign in to a geocaching site and that's it. I tried to search for geocache and nothing happened. I've looked through all of the menus and can see nothing that tells me exactly how this app works.
