never written a review but i’m weighting this one now because this app is so garbage and it’s push notifications are so dumb

The admins and ambassadors take extensive time/do not take any action when users experience discomfort. Certain behavior should not be tolerated and stronger punishments must be implemented. Also, if you're thinking of getting it- probably not worth it if you aren't a freshman: the app lacks user retention because people don't go on it after the first few months of class. TLDR: Take down offensive content and users. People are using LC as a medium to violate COVID guidelines, and no one has interfered.

I deleted it because I didn’t have a use for it at the time and it keeps downloading on my phone over and over again even after I deleted it…

So I got a new number and I tried logging into my account with my email. They won’t let me log in because the email I used doesn’t allow spam. So I tried looking up how to change phone number for account. They made it impossible for people who gets new phone numbers. I emailed customer service and they said it should be good to use now. I tried using my school email and it says the same thing as before. I logged out to try again. Now it won’t let me log back in. Customer service needs a phone number to contact. I have no use for this app if I can’t get access to my school chat.

They Make it unnecessarily hard to terminate an account, which if it’s free should be easy.

I wanted to delete my account due to a misunderstanding and there’s no delete button

I tried to remove my information as I am giving the number to another family member and getting a new one but the app would not let me!!! Very bad

Why is there an option to register with email address if it doesn’t work?

I don’t appreciate how loopchat automatically added me into the College Circle feature after failing to get me to join with their BILLIONS of spam ads. Loopchat was really good last summer when they weren’t advertising cringe things 24/7. It’s not a good marketing scheme it’s ANNOYING. The more y’all advertise the more I want to literally not be on the app anymore. Please cool it with the ads and allow people the option to not be in college circle if they don’t want to. You would think they would want to do more of what the users of the app want in order to actually keep them on the app.

I think this app would be better if it allowed you to send links in chats. On multiple occasions, I tried to send a link to a discord server for SCAD students. However, it would not allow others to view the link.
