LouLou FAQ
Is LouLou free?
LouLou is not free (it costs 249.00), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is LouLou legit?
🤔 The LouLou app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I downloaded 3 of the top ring apps so I could compare them as I’m new to this birth control method. This one was my least favorite. I liked that it was blue/green instead of pink like all the others but that’s about it. The actual app is extremely basic and doesn’t actually lay things out in a sensible manner. It’s difficult to see when you put in your ring and took it out and it always has a red action bubble on every single day. On top of that the day reminders are off. I had this one set to the same cycle days as the other two apps and it reminded me a day later than the others.
Overall it’s better than nothing I guess but I’d save your money. Super disappointing.
Last update broke contraceptive tracking
The app updated in the middle of my cycle and I had to enter the last date of inserting contraceptive manually, then after that it keeps telling me there is an alert but the alert date doesn’t match the date of insertion or removal. I contacted support over a week ago and got no response. Time to find another app.
Awful
Old app was better. This app calculates everything wrong and my info did not migrate. Says I have a period the day afte insertion of my new ring but it’s 21 days after insertion for a period. What in the world did y’all do now I have to find a new app because this is going to mess everything up with my cycle if I use this as my reminder app.
Update broke everything
The new update said they’d done a major overhaul and old data would transfer in. I found this to be false. After clicking the migrate data button, the app only carried over this month. Additionally the app now gives the wrong removal date; while claiming cycle day one is insertion date it makes the next 7 days period days
Not intuitive… I’d rather have the old version
I liked the app before it changed to LouLou. I migrated my data but the dates seem completely wrong, and the “ring in” and “period days” are confusing to me? I need the calendar that shows “ring in” and “ring out”. I don’t want to track my period, I want to track the days based on when the ring is in, and when it’s out. I also can’t change the dates on the calendar or my period after they’ve already been put in from the old data. Because of this my dates are just confusing and incorrect. There should be an option to change dates, an option to track your period, and the calendar should be based on ring in days/ring out only unless you turn on “period tracking mode”. This is an awful time to update because I totally forgot when I inserted my ring, and had a notification set to when I needed to take it out, and I eventually just had to be like “hmm it’s been a long time since I put my ring in I think….” Then I checked the updated app and, now I just have no idea if I’m protected or not. Lol
Might as well use my calendar app, this app is useless
I paid for this app and it’s horrible, it does the same thing that any calendar app would do but only worse. You would assume that sense this app is for the ring, there would be an option to set reminders to remove/insert the ring. The issue is that when you set up a reminder, it reminds you EVERY DAY to “insert ring”. There is no option to set how often you receive reminders. There is no benefit to this app and the standard apple calendar offers more when it comes to setting reminder dates.
Not a good tracking app
Yeah, I don’t know what all of these good reviews are talking about because this is probably the worst ring tracking app I’ve ever downloaded. The “insert your ring” notifications are sent every day and there is no way to change it, so there is no way to actually know when you’re supposed to put the ring in. The calendar doesn’t show how many days you’ve had the ring in for, and the actual cycle tracker doesn’t make any sense (I usually replace my ring on Saturdays but the tracker wants me to replace it one day earlier every cycle). Definitely not worth the $3.
Serious design flaw
This app would be great except for one thing: it only allows you to log actions immediately, meaning you can’t go back and enter that you inserted your ring a few hours ago or a few days ago. This is so annoying because it means that your timing is off if you didn’t happen to log the action right at the time you did it. It should be a simple fix but until then this app is not useful.
Pick another app
Very confusing to work and not user friendly
Not customizable
I’m so mad that I paid money for this. I can’t even put in my customized birth control schedule to have a period every 3 months. And I can’t go back to insert the ring the day before if I forget.
