Low Camera is a camera app that takes low quality pictures!
The photos you take are of low quality, so you can save your phone's capacity!
It is recommended for those who dare to take low quality photos!
◆There are 3 levels of picture quality!
Medium quality
Low quality
Very Low quality
◆18 filters are available!
◆You can also take square pictures!
◆You can reduce the quality of saving from the menu to save even smaller file size!
Takes 4:3 ( 1:33) stills and video at the following settings:
Medium -640x480 - ( 30fps?)
Low - 480 x 360 - ( 30fps?)
Very low - 192 x 144. ( 15fps?)
And a 1:1 square mode with 480x480, 360x360, 144x144.
All of the above are saved at appropriate smaller file sizes.
Very handy!
There is a grid, and on/off manual control of the iPhones light.
There is also a “save quality” control that appears to limit the resolution that the file is saved at, but I didn’t try it.
It also has many color, color balance and some effects filters but only for the stills, which makes sense considering the simplicity of the app. Adding video filters would probably bloat it. Still, It would be nice to have at least monochrome video.
The frame rates for the video are guesses, that’s why there are question marks. I made simple 5 second videos. When I opened the files in the IOS photo app and got info, the frame rates were listed as 29.58, 29.57, and 14.82. None of these are standard frame rates, but then again, the files made by the standard iPhone camera app does exactly the same thing. I didn’t put the files in an editor to figure out why, and that “Save quality” control may alter things as well.
It could use a few features, so it’s 4 stars not 5, but it’s very good.
Please Add These Features….
This is almost what I’m looking for and will happily update my rating to 5 stars if you could please add the following two features. I use this app for taking eBay product photos. There’s no need to take super huge photos when the app will resize them way down anyway. Waste of space and data. Please add the following…..
1. Allow the app to save your settings from last session. (I always take square photos. Default currently is NOT square.)
2. Add one more tier of quality. Maybe call it “Large” at around 1024.
Thank you for this helpful free app!
VHS Filter?
Amazing app, just perfect, but can you add a vhs filter? all the other apps are pay to film when its just a filter. it’d be very beneficial if you added a camcorder esc filter. thanks!
Amazing App!!!
I had to transfer all of my pen and paper writings to digital and this app helped me do it using a fraction of the memory I would’ve. No complaints! Great app.
