Very good basic app.
Takes 4:3 ( 1:33) stills and video at the following settings: Medium -640x480 - ( 30fps?) Low - 480 x 360 - ( 30fps?) Very low - 192 x 144. ( 15fps?) And a 1:1 square mode with 480x480, 360x360, 144x144. All of the above are saved at appropriate smaller file sizes. Very handy! There is a grid, and on/off manual control of the iPhones light. There is also a “save quality” control that appears to limit the resolution that the file is saved at, but I didn’t try it. It also has many color, color balance and some effects filters but only for the stills, which makes sense considering the simplicity of the app. Adding video filters would probably bloat it. Still, It would be nice to have at least monochrome video. The frame rates for the video are guesses, that’s why there are question marks. I made simple 5 second videos. When I opened the files in the IOS photo app and got info, the frame rates were listed as 29.58, 29.57, and 14.82. None of these are standard frame rates, but then again, the files made by the standard iPhone camera app does exactly the same thing. I didn’t put the files in an editor to figure out why, and that “Save quality” control may alter things as well. It could use a few features, so it’s 4 stars not 5, but it’s very good.
