Lumi Nova is a National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommended therapeutic mobile game that enables children & young people to learn life-long skills to self-manage their worries and build resilience through exposure therapy and psychoeducation.
Lumi Nova is for 7-12 year olds experiencing mild to moderate anxiety. Lumi Nova is not recommended for use with children who have severe anxiety, are in crisis, have suicidal thoughts or at risk of self harm.

GETTING STARTED:

1. Once you have been provided access, you will receive a text message with a link to get started (and receive your game key to activate the app)
2. Access Lumi Nova using your Game Key and complete the parent set up by shortlisting 3 goals for your young person to choose from
3. Each goal is broken down into several small challenges to help your young person achieve success
4. The first few challenges (imagine, draw, photos, and videos) happen in the game, while the rest happen in real life.
5. Parents/Guardians will need to unlock and support young people to complete real life challenges

Great tool for our 9 year old
Our 9 year old son really found this game useful and fun. He lacks confidence and engaged with the activities to challenge his norms. It is well presented, interactive and a vehicle to talk about things that otherwise are hidden.
A great game
I helped my 9 year old to play this game and it is truly wonderful. You can choose different fears to overcome ranging from bugs to the dark. Abbie chose to overcome her fear of going to bed alone. Alongside other techniques created with her support worker she did amazingly well and now goes to bed alone. We are going to conquer our fear of bugs together as a family next! I think Lumi Nova will help your children to overcome your fears and worries. At first you write your child's fears and worries. You will get to create your own character. Once you have made your character you meet someone called Pip. There are 8 levels of the game. I think Lumi Nova is the best game most wonderfullest you have ever seen. Signed Abbie aged 9.
