Thank you for being a part of my journey with Luminos! As I strive to bring you the best in astronomical software, I want to let you know that, after 12 years of updates, this version of Luminos will be retired in 2023. But there's exciting news: I've developed Luminos Pro, an advanced version that offers even more amazing features and updates. To continue providing support and updates to my existing customers, this version will stay available in the App Store for now. I invite you to explore my latest features and designs in Luminos Pro and join me on this continuing adventure. See you in the stars!

French translation could be improved

rodolgo-ch on

5 stars, still the best app around, however competition is catching up! I would appreciate a way to select the app main language. The upgrade turned the app into French, with missing translations and several spelling errors. Is there a way to turn it back to English? Thanks and keep it improving!

Super!

Not practical in the field

Chris1112 on

Luminos really looks great when you first start it. However when I started using it in the field I found severe UI glitches which make practical use frustrating: - Luminos only shows one constellation figures, the one over the cursor! This is really stupid because every observer uses the constallation figures for quick navigation - Selecting objects is really hard. Often, a tiny star is selected instead of the desired Messier object! - Deep sky objects are often only visible when you zoom in. There should be a setting to adjust this. - If an object is selected from a list, e.g M13, the app fully zooms in on the object. This is certainly not practical to find the object in the sky. - Lists are not remembered. e.g. If I work through the Herschel 400 list I always have to navigate to the list again when I reopen the menu.

Fantastic!

I have most of the astronomical softwares available for iOS devices. This is probably the most complete one which also has a good balance between fun and science. Congratulations
