Lunascape Browser

Doesn’t block YouTube ads from 01/05/24 this was the main reason to use.

There is no choice on iPad. Almost every browser is made for American users. The search engines are American and force American results on users. The browsers are designed to force American advertising onto users. It is a total nightmare and trying to fix browsers by adding European search engines or installing add-ons to block ads or protect privacy is getting to be a full time job. I searched Store for 'non-American browser with privacy and ad-blocker'. The only result was this Japanese browser. I decided to try it but the whole thing is built on American models. It uses Safari / Chrome as basic concept. And all the preinstalled bookmarks and search engines are American - Google search, YouTube, Twitter, etc I changed the home page to Qwant and try to use the browser in Europe but it is not easy. This is just a lousy front-end 'skin' for Safari. Why use it instead of Safari? There are exactly no gains except an option to add an RSS news feed to the home page. An RSS news feed?!? I have given up. I will just stop using my iPad to access the internet and retire it as only fit for playing old games. Americans are making the internet unuseable.

please add dark mode it hurts my eyes to be in that light mode

I find this app has an a lying habit. When opening it often it offers you the opportunity to write an review then when one chooses not to do the request it pops one back to the start. It is am ever ending circle

Would be a great browser except that every time I use it a page will randomly hang and fail to load. Closing and reopening lunascape fails to clear the problem, but closing it then opening Safari , closing that, then opening lunascape does. Also one of the reasons I tried lunascape was its reported ability to import Firefox bookmarks. Sadly it no longer can.

Pages don't pinch and Zoom properly. Zooms back t when I let go.
