All I wanted from this app was to get a notification on my phone when the sun rises and when it sets. Unfortunately this app doesn’t do a very good job of that. Sunrise and sunset times change throughout the year, but the app has no way of keeping track of that, without my manually opening the app each day or each week to make sure the times of sunrise and sunset remain accurate. There is really no reason to open the app regularly to update the sunrise/sunset schedule so it always gets out of sync. This morning the sun rose at 5:23 am but the Lux app thinks it is at 6:42 am and waits until 6:42 am to notify me. The app really needs to have a built-in year-long calendar of sunrise and sunset times so it can keep track of this better throughout the year without needing constant attention from the user to keep it updated.
Not sure why there are low ratings. It’s been working great for me for year.
It displays the exact time for both sunset and sunrise. However it only shows the elapsed time to go before either of those events in whole hours. It needs to show the elapsed time in hours and minutes. Frankly this poor little app would be way overpriced at even .99 cents.
Takes advantage of you to buy it. For 2 months it notified me that the sun was setting at exactly the same time daily. In September I deleted app as it was announcing sunset in one hour when it was pitch dark outside.
