Excellent App and service
I have used this app for some time now and it’s great! I had trouble with my login and I lost access to ALL my work. I knew it had been synced to their cloud so I was hoping they could help. They went above and beyond to get my account straightened out. I now have access to my songs and lyrics thanks to their hard work! I wish all app developers worked this hard for their customers!

The improvements in the app are a definite plus in keeping us with advancements in technology and helping to motivate new, lyrical ideas. Understanding that process of revising and editing makes this app a valid and useful tool.
Ruined a good thing
Songwriter pad was my trusted songwriting companion on my iPad for many many years (I’ve written 364 songs with it!} but the new AI version is a very poor substitute for the reliable and friendly app I’ve depended upon. Their new paradigm is to use prompts to halp AI pre write a complete song for inspiration— and then retool it make it your own. That’s hardly a feature I’ve dreamed about. I am a fan of AI’s potential but I wish they had simply tried to incorporate AI to help us with the basics of song craft like easy access to synonyms, spelling and rhyme. The new formatting of song blocks make it impossible to see an entire song on one page. The font and formating appear to be impossible to adjust— it’s a very small font and difficult to read. The migration process has left many of my songs without the recorded audio that I depend on. Although it seems like SP can link to google Drive and Dropbox— I don’t see a way to import an audio file back into my song. I hope that Dante and his team continue to develop this app— I’ll hang on for a little while— but please just try to get the basics right first and then try to innovate AI into the writing process— not become a substitute.
Great App, needs one more Feature to be the perfect app for Songwriting
This app is great, the new updates have features we needed. However, now we need the ability to import audio files into the app, be able to play, pause, skip, and rewind the audio file. It would be great if all audio formats are compatible but Wav, MP3 and M4A are a must. If you guys can add this feature to the next update, I understand how complex that is but it will be a game changer. We wouldn’t need to play audio in a different app if we are able to play and do everything else within the songwriters pad. It’s a five star review but I put it as a 1 star so I can get the developers attention.

This app keeps me writing songs. It’s well organized & fully featured. Dante’s support is great as well. He’s be able to help me through the few issues I’ve encountered very quickly.
Loving the New Version
Thanks for the new version! Syncing between devices is now automatic and immediate (and as far as I can tell, flawless). AI authoring is an interesting (and educational) new feature. Recommend for casual songwriters like me who usually have their phone handy!
No lock anymore
I like the new version a lot, but not being able to lock my notes with a pass is a deal breaker for me.

Although the developer is still working on various aspects of the app I am giving it the highest rating based solely on the customer service. I just transitioned over from the previous versions and was having issues getting my songs to transfer over. I sent the developer an email and he responded immediately and was able to get my songs back on-line. Combine this with unlimited cloud storage, a Desktop app and the new AI feature . . . Pretty awesome stuff.
