Is MAC.BID free?
Yes, MAC.BID is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is MAC.BID legit?
⚠️ The MAC.BID app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Pros: it’s 1 MILLION times better than their barely functional website.
Cons: Crashes constantly. Can’t read titles due to character limits displayed. Many pages don’t have a Back button, requiring you to start your search over. No way to Save filter preferences. No way to Sort on several of the search pages (I think it’s only available on one page). When you limit search to certain pick up locations, it’ll still show you from outside your pickup locations (ex: if you click the Related tab) leading to accidental bids at undesired locations.
No way to see different lists for Winning, Outbid, Watchlist vs Current Bids, etc like seen on Nellis Auction.
Summary: The site and app need a LOT of work. They should take a look at Nellis Auction if they want to improve their user experience. Maybe some pagination would help, but the loading speed is terrible, especially when you have to start all over due to lack of appropriate Back function and Open in New Tab ability.
Cool concept, needs work
I’d say 80% of the items I’ve purchased have panned out and worked fine. It’s the other 20% that I can’t wrap my head around. I understand the consumer agrees the onus is on them to go to the warehouse prior and check on items before they buy. I don’t have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is Mac.bid’s lackluster vetting process of certain items that may not work, especially electronics. Bought a Keurig elite with the box open, they posted a picture of the Keurig itself. Great. You would think that, perhaps since it’s an electronic, they would try and plug it in to see if it works first? Nope. Again I take responsibility for assuming Mac.bid had this level of integrity, but my point is that sometimes they would rather put something on the shelf caring less if it worked or not, and charge you for “insurance” if it doesn’t than just confirming the item works in the first place before even posting it. A bit of a scummy business model, but to their credit I have bought some stuff that I like.

I have to try several times to get the app to work since the update. I never had problems like this before.
Terrible Ap
I have to delete this ap and reload it every other day. It’s such an inconvenience! I’ve only had it for a week and am very frustrated with it. Please fix this issue!

Having too many Watched items this app causes the screen to turn white and be unresponsive. It’s useless.

I really like MAC Bid they have everything you need at reasonable price
Update 6/24 very buggy.
The current Mac.Bid iOS App update, suddenly, repeatedly, and without warning —often when you are in the middle of a bid— will go completely blank to a white screen. Then you have to start to App all over again, until it happens once again. Very frustrating.
Terrible app and Place
This place lies to you and will not let you have your items, I arrived 5mins apparently after there check in time after driving an hour to get there. There was nothing on the receipt about arriving there 15mins early. Customer service is a joke and the in person help is just as rude. Will never be using again.
GLITCHING
Recently, there has been a consistent glitch with the app. It will load go all white, and when somebody out bids me for some thing, I try to click at the bids that I have and then my screen will go all white. Causing me to shut down the app completely down reloading it trying it again, and if that doesn’t work the first time. I have to do it 2-3 more times!! && by the time I get my bids open, the auction on the item I had bided on has been closed and I no longer can adjust my bid!!
Errors and glitches and bugs need to be managed better!
