Description
Makro’s Express app provides a smart way for you to save time and money by beating the queue. Simply add your card, shop from a personal list, or scan your items directly to your trolley.
Steps to accelerate your in-store checkout process:
Link your Makro Card
Add your Makro Card by simply typing in your card number and confirm your details when prompted.
Connect to our Customer WIFI in-store and store selection
Once in-store, connect to our customer WIFI and select the store you are shopping at.
Scan & Checkout
As you add each item to your trolley, scan them using the app. Once complete, press the checkout button on the app and a barcode will be produced. Go to our Express Checkout counters and show the barcode to our cashier.
Plan your shopping
Use the Shopping list feature to preplan your shopping. Once you are in-store, select each item on your shopping list, scan the actual item and it will be added to your basket.

Why shop online - inside the shop?? Stupid App...
Pointless app
Tried to use it 4 or 5 times. Each time I say never again and then when I get into Makro I think just one more time. App freezes and struggles when you start adding a lot of products. It won’t scan barcodes and won’t adjust quantities. If you manage to actually get through your shopping, Makro staff are so incompetent, they don’t know how to check you out. When you get to a till eventually, and you try to check out, the app freezes or gives errors making it impossible to check out. Don’t waste your time on this app.
Great idea but needs work
Makro, this is a BRILLIANT app with a brilliant idea to it but making the customer connect to the Customer WiFi - firstly takes a moment but then either the WiFi connection is terrible or the app needs work. Sometimes I am connected to that WiFi but the app tells me I need to connect? The app does not function at all if not connected to that WiFi. The app should run on personal data as well to avoid this.
