Man Down Cornwall

At Man Down our objective is to reduce the number of male suicides and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health by offering men opportunities to talk about their emotions.
The Man Down app provides a dedicated online community (away from social media) that allows you to post openly about your mental wellbeing, find and give support and develop meaningful connections. Main areas of the app include:
//In-person meeting groups//
For those that have attended an in-person meeting, you can find and request to join the associated online group. A great way to keep in touch between meetings, support one another and find out about group socials and events.
//Interest groups//
Meet likeminded people by striking up a conversation in the interest group of your choice. A great way to share a hobby, try something new or just have a chat about something specific, these groups are open to anyone with the app.
//Resources and support//
A dedicated area of the app for signposting to professional services and help. Quick and easy to access, this can be your go to place for when you need support.
//Man Down Updates//
Whether it is a new meeting location announcement, key Man Down info or an opportunity to join course, events or activity, the Man Down Updates feed is our way of sharing the latest news.
//Direct Messaging//
Connect with each other via direct messaging. Simply request to message someone, wait for them to accepts and you can begin your chat.

Please note: the Man Down app is available for all to download but, initially, only our network of volunteer facilitators will be able to log in. This is so we can ensure the app, when released to all, is tip-top and can hit the ground running.
