The official mobile ticketing app of BusPlus – a program of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
The BusPlus app lets you purchase and use intercity and commuter bus tickets instantly on your phone. Here’s how it works:
1. Plan a trip by selecting an origin, destination, and schedule
2. Choose the type of ticket and quantity
3. Create an account and link your credit/debit card to complete checkout
4. Activate your ticket and show it to the bus driver
An internet connection is required to purchase tickets, but you can use your ticket(s) offline. All personal information and payments are securely transmitted and stored.
Please contact [email protected] for customer service assistance. Any comments or suggestions you may have are welcome. We are aware of problems with the scanning feature while adding new credit cards, and are working to correct this issue.

The QR code does not work
Why is it that when I buy a ticket, I get on the bus, and scan the QR code, it says that they do not work, 5 times already so
Works perfect
And also was a wonderful idea I used to have to find stores to go buy a ticket but now I've got two younger children and that is harder so this made my trip so much easier/ enjoyable for everyone thank you to all included in this app seriously

So, I am a disabled veteran, and I receive a discount on my tickets. I purchased my tickets on my iPhone, and I keep my iPhone with me to use as I go on the bus. Over the month of December, the buses were free, and when they started charging again in January, I went onto this app, and found that all but two of my bus passes remained, had about a dozen before December! This is not the first time this has happened to me I often purchase a few tickets at a time, and I will go to the app the next day and only maybe one will remain, and there’s no way to track them at all. They literally just disappear! I’ve tried getting a hold of customer service, and to no avail.

Not so easy to use
Many parts are self explanatory once you are there but finding what you need isn’t as easy as it should be. Several glitches, especially in the trip planner, made it impossible to figure out best routes and times.
Excellent app!
Just flash your pass and go! No fumbling for change or a paper pass that has expired. It works great!
