I’m confident it is rigged - the dice rolls are just far too coincidental. Unless a game is prepared to record stats on dice rolls, they’re all rigged. Catan shows dice rolls during a game and it’s great, demonstrates that it is random and the averages are appropriate. Double sixes should not be as common 5,6,7 or 8, it’s simple statistics. But also, the dice rolls seem to match the board layout way too conveniently.
If you’re looking for a free backgammon game to play don’t bother with this one. I set up two different accounts after feeling I was being duped, one only playing the free version and one which I paid for coins to use during gameplay. Free version starts off all good, then you will notice that no matter how good you are, the dice will always favour your opponent, giving you the occasional win to keep you playing. However, game play seems to be somewhat more fair if you buy coins. I’ve played for the past month on both the free account and the one in which I paid for coins and not once did I ever spin over 200 coins on the coin multiplier. They respond with responses such as “we don’t have any control over the roll of the dice” I think that’s not true at all. My husband is an app developer and suggests that they can 100 percent rig the roll. So disappointed, such a waste of time. Off to play non rigged backgammon on an actual board with real people…
Why did you slow it down. It’s painful to play now.
I can spend hours, literally, with this app. Intelligent, challenging and thoroughly entertaining!
This is by far the best backgammon available
Be nice to have some info about the opponent. Not necessarily ID; locale would do IMHO.
Although this app looks and feels nice, it's quite clear that it's stacked towards those who choose to buy 'gold' in the game - and the dice quite obviously favor those people. Also, there are constant timeouts, where even if you are by a high-speed connection, often the game suggests you didn't make a move (regardless of whether you might be winning or not) and you can lose all of your wager. I gave up contacting 'support'. The AI games are a joke. The "skill level" of the AI basically dictates how many doubles the AI gets. It can be 10:1 doubles, which isn't any fun. Honestly, avoid this laughable app and read a book instead.
