Masterbuilt Classic

Horrible app that never works. No support from Masterbuilt, email or phone. I’ll never buy their product again. I follow instructions to get the phone app out of safe mode but it never works. This whole thing is an abject failure.

No ability to set alarm or notification for probe temp, just ability to monitor. Shows that I can set the temp and time from my phone but it doesn’t work properly- just errors to last set temp and says “temp reached!” immediately. All these function fine from the control panel on the smoker. I’ll be returning this smoker ASAP- 90% because of this app. Garbage is being nice.

Spotty connection issues even after pairing with device, also the connection warning needs to be moved. If I just want to view temperature I need to connect to the device every time or the “connection” warning is in the way. Move the connection warning to the bottom of the Paige when viewing a device so you can Atleast see temperature even if you can’t control the device remotely.

This is the worst app. Now not won’t even connect to my smoker. Blue light readout on smoker is impossible to read in daylight, and now the app won’t function. I am so sick of this ongoing issue that Masterbuilt just will not fix!!! Looking forward to this thing dying so I can get a different brand of smoker. Stay away from this app and smokers!!

Just bought this smoker and it won’t connect to Bluetooth. Tried everything still won’t work.

I do enjoy my Masterbuilt smoker. However, when it comes to the Bluetooth function, this is absolutely horrible. I would not recommend buying a Masterbuilt if you’re expecting a seamless Bluetooth connection. it would be nice if they had the app updated or a better way to connect the smoker in the Bluetooth. Unfortunately it looks like it’s been over a year since this apps last update.

Keeps going back to safe mode and asking to close door or reopen and close door and reconnect. Very poor app.

There is no button to push to connect. Bought a month and recently tried to smoke some fish. Put chips in and no smoke. JUNK!!

After having red only bad reviews, I was hesitating to download the app, but did anyway because I had the Bluetooth function. It took me a while to connect and then it seemed to be working. The moment I opened the door I have had this safe mode message preventing me from seeing temp or doing anything else. Tried unplugging, uninstalling same Safe Mode message! I am uninstalling the app right away and will keep using it as I always have been using it. I don’t really like this smoker anyway , very cheap build for the money. Stay away from Masterbuild!

App won’t stay connected to unit, despite downloading most updated version. Then won’t even let me log into my account despite resetting my password. Error after error message. We loved this unit but the software is making us second guess using it as often. So frustrating!
